It seems like those who celebrate southern heritage tend to only celebrate 4 particular years (1861-1865). You never see them celebrating Nat Turner Day. Nat was a Southerner who died fighting for freedom. A true hero.

Still kind of a d*** move on the part of the flag wavers, don't ya think? Trust me, I am all for free speech, and this PC BS is completely out of control. But to crash a kid's party to make a political statement....well... it's a bit classless if you ask me.

That's a great point.
Don't they have other things to celebrate about the South? Is this ALL they have?
And I've still not found one southerner to tell me what Southern heritage and Southern culture is.
I have to conclude that they really don't know...it all just sounds good. Makes them feel special and apart when the South is just like any other region of this country for the most part.
A convoy of pickups with 'southern heritage' flags drove in from another county, trespassed, and harassed locals at a black child's birthday party.
"Douglasville police are investigating a Saturday afternoon incident that, according to witnesses, involved a convoy of Confederate flag-bearing trucks interrupting a black child’s birthday party with racial epithets and threats of violence."
"A woman who shared the video said the trucks were on her property and their passengers were armed and threatened to “kill y’all [N-words].”
Actually reading the account it doesn't seem quite as straight forward as portrayed by the OP. What a surprise.
