The fact they are progressives says definitely yes. They want to emaciate and turn us into yellow bellied wimps like those who inhabit the EU. Attempting to circumvent the Constitution, 2A in particular, is sure proof of it.

It isn't , but the kneejerk Neocon reaction is to tie all socialist policies to a dictatorial nation in poverty. I hate to break it to everyone, but we are already a socialist Nation.

I hate to agree with you we are so opposite of our views. It really pains me!

But Obama has turned so many dependent on the Gov and has not really done anything to propel industry.

The conservative president Taft argued that every worker should have the right to 2-3 months of paid vacation in 1910. Today, a 100 years later, the conservatives are acting like modern day slave drivers, and trying to convince the peons that they should embrace their shackles.
I'm American and get 10 weeks of fully paid vacation yearly and my company pays me $15K/yr extra for travel to my vacations since I often work internationally. I sure as hell don't want to be downgraded to the Netherlands system. My health insurance was fully paid and covered everything at no cost to me until Obamacare Sux people came in told my company that they needed to offer me much worse health insurance.

...and this in a nutshell is why the U.S. should not be turned into Europe. There is already a Europe with a declining population and plenty of space for those who want to live in a European environment. The world only needs one Europe and it also needs one United States.

They are practically giving houses away in Sicily.

Free houses in Italy. Hurry they are going fast.

Of course they do. That's where "Progressivism" was imported from (Germany) It came to America through the university system. I'm sure it spread to the countries you mentioned the very same way.

They want the US to be MORE liberal than Europe. For example, most European countries are very strict when it comes to illegal immigration and border security, and France in particular is tough on Islamic radicalism and the refusal of Muslims to assimilate into French society for example how the head scarf is banned. Here liberals only want to ban the Confederate flag.
