First, disarm the population. Take away guns, including those Vermonters use for hunting.

Then, introduce drugs, which turns people into the sick soldiers of China's last dynasty amidst British opium war.

Third, mass immigration continues and labor remains cheap and jobs are temp gigs.

Fourth, disrupt social fabric, eliminate national identity, and introduce endless social and cultural friction that bite both sides and avoid a discussion of economics.

The people are unarmed, fed, dependent. A revolution is coming to America. It's the 1% revolution of long term control.

Why do the 1% want to go through all that trouble to control the 99%? Why can't they be happy blowing their money on mega tall skyscrapers and huge football stadiums?

Because when it comes to a breaking point, they want the pitchforks to have no guns and be drugged already.

The 1% will control the economy using Machine Learning and Autonomous Technologies and other efficiencies that eliminate the need for non-skilled or low-skilled human labor.

Autonomous systems that will drive cars will put out millions out of jobs.
automated flight plans will ensure many are jobless.

If The U.S Education System does not improve quickly millions of doing manual labor will see their jobs as obsolete (think Rail Road Signal Man)

There are and always will be more blue collar jobs than white. There are things which need to be done manually by a human and that will never change. Your autonomous world is generations away. A human always writes the rules of autonomy. When machines write their own rules we are in a world of hurt.

Like wise with the 1%. Who is the 1%. It is actually less than 1%. We are speaking of those who have the real wealth of the world. More are European than any other. They send representatives to the G-20 and other summits BHO or Kerry attend as they can't be bothered with that trivial stuff. They finance it but their end game is control.
Agenda 21 came out of those meetings and it is all about total control.

Clinton wants control but she is nowhere near the 1%. Trump is not of the 1%. The 1% are invisible. How wealthy are the oil sheiks in the Middle East? They aren't of the 1% though the 1% handle them. The Koch Bros or Lehmans may not be of the 1% though they are supposedly influential. Power is where they 'tell' you it is. They 'tell' us lots of things through the official mouthpiece known as the mainstream media. Actually witnessing or speaking to one truly involved is far different than the media 'telling' you about an incident. Word of mouth is wholly inaccurate though it was the manner in which people received news about the world at times in this country. How did people live before mass media existed?
It was the same 1% then as is now.

The NEA will continue to spit out more and more average kids and in time will be the training grounds of the proletariat.
That means manual jobs need be done; lots-o-them.

What do you mean... the 1% already and always has controlled us. And you don't need drugs, mass immigration, and whatever else to do it; you just need a ****load of money. If you control the businesses, the financial sector, the technology...you control "us."

Excellent post.

Plus, the 1% don't have to stay here and deal with the chaos they create. They can fly their private jets to their villas on the French Riviera, their islands in the South Pacific, or their chalets in Switzerland.

The elites of Third World countries, including numerous dictators and human rights violators, have been doing this for years. The American elite is catching on.

Yes but in Every generation the skill required to do that is just more and more specialized and harder.
And Untill new Blue Color Jobs replace old ones there will be serious dislocation.

What are you talking about! They are at best 20 years away. we have semi-autonomous flying planes.

We have Semi Autonomous Cars.

do you how many millions of Pizza Delivery Guys, UPS Delivery Trucks, Cab Drivers might be Automated.

We have Amazon who is automating the stocking process in their Warehouses using Robots. There are millions of Jobs related to people who in distribution business.

It does not mean new Jobs will not come. It just means the regular folks who are at the bottom of the food chain will suffer for a considerable period of time until new jobs arrive which by the way probably don't pay as well.

As I stated in mt initial post " humans write the rules of autonomy".

Your autonomous delivery services are a long way off. Those can't be sent out into the world among human drivers with minds of goo. Stocking at Amazon is one thing, they might break or lose some stock. Is there any chance they may injure a human being? Who cares?...humans are expendable and a robot can work nonstop forever.
there will be need for manual labor as long as man is alive. How does one eat, find shelter and defend one's self? Are there going to be robots to care for the needs of humans 24/7?

That's not the point.

The Point is that As Automation Technology in various sector improve. Either People's wages will go down or they completely lose their job. We have already seen this in manufacturing.

and often the new manual labor jobs (think working in WalMart) simply do not pay as well as.

basically the Rich have always owned the land. the minerals and other natural resources. the labor was was the only thing that the average man could withhold.

going out 50 years. I can easily see an Orwellian scenario where a Multi billionaire has Drones hovering over his palace. The Drone will shoot warning shots at somebody getting close to the resources of that billionaire. and will finally eliminate that threat (the common man) after a couple of warning shots. and they will alter the justice system where algorithm evidence of threat detection is actually accepted into evidence.

I can easily see a world 30 years form now where there is no one working in a stores. you walk in. you pick up what you want (or maybe a robots brings it to you) and then you can't leave (the door won't allow open) or There is a technology similar to that which does not allow dogs to go beyond a certain perimeter.
Thus reducing the need for manual labor at the store.

There is no doubt that with the way the world is going. those with Capital will get richer and richer. Everything is in their favor. they can move across borders. They can buy out politicians legally.
