Even went to a giant supermarket chain, Adonis, and came to learn it was founded by Lebanese immigrant brothers in the late 70s.

There are mixed reports as to whether the 85K and 100K refugees will be strictly Syrian or from many countries. The second article says multiple countries.

That 10,000 number is balderdash. The 100,000 number is what Obama's planning--annually. The "big dump" into American cities across the country is already well underway.

Islam demands the subjugation of Infidels. Dumping mass numbers of Muslims into the country is a dumb idea. The only Muslim immigration that should be allowed from these places are Ex-Muslims who want to escape the tyranny of Islam and live their lives in freedom.
Obama is a Muslim who hates white people, Christianity and the U.S.

So it's not surprising that he's doing this.

Anyone who paid close attention before he was first elected president could see this coming.

Liberalism is a disease and we can bet martha's vineyard will never see a muslim refugee. not a one because special people live there.

and they shouldnt see any refugees because educated, smart people that have good jobs can afford to live there.

Why should refugees from syria be able to live there?

I don't mind refugees that are vetted being allowed to come in, into cities with established programs (charities and the such) that will assist them in their re-settlement. The # being tossed around however, I'm not sure who's sitting down and crunching the numbers and putting a flat # like 10000 out and saying that's a valid amount. I would rather see actual analysis of how they derived whatever # (if it's 10000, then the team/committee who supposedly did their analysis, should release that study). America has accepted refugees/immigrants since the inception of our country.

Correct, if there are thousands of them, why don't they stay and fight?

My son was in Afghanistan training so called vetted men....and when pay day came around, they disappeared into the mountains, never to be seen again.

How in the h--- can you vet someone from one of the most primitive countries in the world? You get off the plane and it's like walking back into Biblical times....

and refugees my butt.....why aren't they staying there and fighting for their land? Especially if there are thousands and thousands of them????? Why aren't we going over there and helping them?

Why in the world would you turn these people loose in a foreign country with a thoroughly modern society/culture, b/c they won't be able to assimilate?

Blog: You will never guess how the U.S. is 'vetting' Syrian refugees

and last but not least, why in the world do American's continue to believe the government? What does it take to wake you all up?

They are living 15 - 30 in one apartment....filthy conditions...kids running all around the apartment, no furniture....they don't even bath? The apartments stink, the kids are running around with no clothes no shoes, just diapers....they stink.....you wanna talk disease?

You people have no idea the can of worms your opening

You want to bring them over here, and just turn them loose, and give them welfare....but they go out and get jobs...even if those jobs are illegal....

Geeze Louise, people wake the heck up

-I hate to say it - but if you're referring to Afghanistan National Army/Police....they were not even remotely close to being vetted...other than their village elder or local warlord vouching for them. Refugees are vetted through a lengthy process, most waiting over a year or more before they can even leave whatever refugee camp they are/were in.

-Vetting process per UNHCR: https://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2015...-united-states , if you don't want a whitehouse.gov link (I know how some hard right Rs are) - 4 Things To Know About The Vetting Process For Syrian Refugees : NPR , a more moderate source, and lastly - foxnews - Syrian refugee screening process reveals progress and pitfalls | Fox News

Is the vetting process perfect...no - no process is...but to say people aren't being thoroughly vetted is undermining the actual work being done in that arena.

-I don't see to many kids and elderly fighting in conflicts. As for the military aged males - they're scared for their lives and rightfully so, since they don't agree with the extremist ideology. You say thousands and thousands are them are fleeing their countries - that's because 470k have been killed, just in Syria...that's not counting Yemen, Afghanistan and other places in which they are fleeing. Why aren't "we" going over there and helping them? We are...just on a minute scale in comparison to the last 13 years - in which the majority of America doesn't want to see a huge US presence in those countries again and having to deal with thousands of US service members deaths and even more WIA.

-They aren't being "turned loose"...they're being re-settled (ie: being helped to assimilate), taught English, and provided job hunting assistance, living arrangements (mostly through non-profit organizations/charities).

Possible this.......https://my.hamilton.edu/news/story/s...ice-internship
Susannah Spero ’13, a recipient of a 2011 Levitt Public Service Internship Grant, will work with Vermont newcomers to help them establish their independence in organic farming. Spero will combine her love of Vermont farming with a desire to aid refugees and new immigrants during an internship for New Farms for New Americans, or NFNA.

Along with Christian Churches........it's not Americans agreeing to this.
