That's not true. Tribalism derives itself from known familial relationships. Yes, everyone in a tribe shares the same culture and language, but more importantly they share known or at least mutually believed in bonds of ancestry. Once you get a population larger than a few tens of thousands this will break down.

So the upstarts in both parties, Trump and Sanders, are both talking about limiting immigration or at least about the bad effects of porous immigration. And they are resonating with voters, at least according to the polls.
What? An American socialist doesn't believe in open borders?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! LOL.

Intelligent people know you can't just have unlimited immigration or what passes for immigration laws in this country.

Furthermore, our wages are threatened on a global level. We'll keep seeing more investment and growth in developing countries with stagnating wages domestically until a greater balance is reached between developed and developing countries.

That argument can be used on the majority in both parties.

And a lot of other folks too. Still think Obama is better than the last two Republican candidates, which is the unfortunate state of our country.

Free market proponents love cheap labor, regardless of legality. The sheep may not realize it, but that's what's supported by those "free market" think tanks.

You are very correct dsjj251.

The corporate ***** wing of the Republican party would love to flood the labor market with millions of new workers who could then compete directly with Americans for jobs that would pay much less and offer few benefits, if any at all.

There are still a few Republicans that do not want amnesty and those are the ones I can support.

Right now, It`s Trump.
