I am all for it.

Claire McCaskill, Amy Klobuchar, Kelly Ayotte and Shelley Moore Capito on women in the Senate - CBS News

What do the ladies think Washington would look like if there were more women in the Senate?

"I think we would get a volume of more things done," Capito said. "We're doers; we want to see accomplishments."

"There would be a lot less of this backstabbing and, just the sort of hateful language and things," Klobuchar added.

Women make up 51 percent of the U.S. population, but hold only 20 percent of the seats in Congress. In the history of the Senate, there have been more than 1,900 male senators, but only 46 women.

If we're going to bring in gender stereotypes to promote more female legislators, then lets just consider the bolded prediction a non-starter for that argument.

Except passing more laws is not an accomplishment.

We need to strip power from legislators, both male and female.

Sounds like sexism or misandry or hateful language right there... Run for office then.. nobody's holding you back ladies...except that kind of hateful language.
Edit: after watching that video I think I'll vote for Hillary now... pfft.
Frank^ is right, passing more laws is nothing to hang your hat on. These little "cute" stories make me puke. Passive aggresive comes to mind.

As long as you can prove gender itself is some kind of accomplishment.

You can have women as legislators as long as they are qualified.

I'm guessing she's never worked with a bunch of women.

is there really much difference in partisans male or female of either party? No matter what their gender is partisans have mostly the same ideology and stale talking points. The brain dead belief that more woman would bring change is non sense.

Perhaps if more would run, there would be more. In fact, not very many chose to run.

Just ask anyone who works in a predominantly female work area how true those statements are.

I TAKE IT THAT YOU GUYS NEVER EVEN READ THE ARTICLE.

The women in the article say they get more done and the numbers say that as well. Are you saying that men are better?
