So Democrats will not throw a tantrum over Planned Parenthood funding?

Do you support shutting down the government over roughly $500 million annually in Planned Parenthood funding?

No, my stance is that there isn't a single Democrat talking about shutting down the government in a grandstanding hissy fit spectacle because they can't get their way. The only ones talking shutdown AGAIN are Republicans. Thus, any shutdown orchestrated in an attempt to defund PP would be laid at the feet of the GOP. AGAIN.

A tantrum like shutting down the government? Nope, no Democrat is threatening that. Only Republicans are.

Link?

If you think the democrats wouldn't shut down the government to support Planned Parenthood funding specifically, I'm afraid you'll be horribly disappointed. Rushing to protect Planned Parenthood specifically and not taxpayer funded health services they provide leaves them with few options unless they go back on their own words.

Yes. I do. No one else could provide those services as efficiently.

It's worth shutting down the government for a few days and horse trade to protect their funding.....but it's not wise to back the organization specifically in public without the other shoe dropping.

Here's a few to get you started:

"Conservative political blogger Erick Erickson is urging Congress to shut down the government in October over taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood. “Shut down the government if that is what it takes. Shut it down now. If we cannot stand on this high ground, we should not stand at all,” he added."

And:

"Calling next week’s Senate roll call to defund Planned Parenthood a “legislative show vote,” GOP firebrand Ted Cruz said Republicans should do everything they can to eliminate federal money for the group — even if it means a government shutdown fight this fall.

He’s not alone. On Wednesday afternoon, 18 House Republicans told leadership that they “cannot and will not support any funding resolution … that contains any funding for Planned Parenthood.”

Same old failed tactic from 2013. You can't cure stupid.

Now it's your turn. Show us all where the Democrats are threatening to shut down the government, as you state in your OP.

Yes, because I don't support issuing ultimatums in order to fund the government.

I suspect that they'd happily shut down the government to protect funding to Planned Parenthood even though there are other health services providers that could stand in their place with less controversy.

Rushing to protect Planned Parenthood (instead of the services they provide) leaves them in an inflexible stance. I think Hillary in particular has made a big mistake here. Alternative service providers can easily replace Planned Parenthood, and she is defending an organization without knowing the content of the unreleased videos that are still out there. I think she's made a political mistake.

You are confused, it will be the Repubs that will shutdown the government again, there will be no Dems to blame, the Repubs own the Congress and have no one left to blame for their own actions

You do know that abortions are not funded by taxpayer money, right?
