I'm just suggesting what I would do. Personally, if I was a longtime employee and this happened at my company I would be disappointed in myself for not seeing it coming.

Or if I did see it coming I'd be angry with myself for not adapting.

That is...if this sort of thing would tick me off.
Not buying your claims. Not a single bit.

If you worked hard, and you "bettered yourself" to become lead, and you made $200,000 a year because of all of that hard work, and then I walked in, totally inexperienced, brand new, and was ALSO going to get $200,000, I believe that you are LYING THROUGH YOUR TEETH that you wouldn't be bothered. I think I see your pants hanging on the telephone wire, burning.

One whole state, huh? Where's the rest of the red south? Waiting for cotton and slavery to make a comeback?

Your second article is a joke, San Diego alone probably gets more venture capital than all of Texas combined: Austin Q2 venture capital activity declines; ATXInnovation, RealMassive deals reported - Austin Business Journal

It's somewhat like the prisoner dilemma experiments where people tend to act irrational and refuse to cooperate even though it would be in their best interest.

Minimum wages/salaries are always a bad idea.
Market based solutions work. Socialist ("economic equality") solutions don't.

That was one dumb CEO handing out $35.00 per hour to new employees when some more productive people had worked for years to get to that level. This is not am example of minimum wage, it's an example of stupidity.

BTW, how's Detroit doing? Not so well I hear.
It's not funny because they and their supporters never learn from it. It is always somene else's fault their grand equality experiment fails.

Socialism? Whaah the fugg has this got to do with socialism?

Socialism | Definition of socialism by Merriam-Webster

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism

This was simply a dumb-azz wanting to be buddies with his co-workers and be CEO of the company attracting talent away from the competition. He screwed the pooch.

Further proof that the overwhelming majority of people who hate socialism really don't have a clue what it means.

A CEO who has authority over his company has the power to determine what his workers will be paid. This a free market principle that is an aspect of capitalism, not socialism. This was likely a scheme to draw attention to himself by saying 'look how progressive we are' in hopes that the competition would not be able to survive while his company did this. It didn't work, which is also an aspect of socialism.

Also, I love the phrase 'drawing accusations of socialism.'
