What an idiot. He is totally ignoring the will of the people. That's a sure recipe for losing elections.
------------------------
Earlier this week, Reason's Jacob Sullum wrote about New Jersey Governor and GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie's pledge to enforce the federal ban on recreational marijuana, ignoring the will of the states that've legalized cannabis sales.

This isn't the first time Christie has disregarded state law in his crusade against legal pot. As governor, he has made it all but impossible for sick Garden State residents to obtain marijuana, even though it was legalized for medical use before he took office.

'Don't Let My Daughter Die, Governor!' Drug Warrior Chris Christie Promises to Escalate the War on Weed - Hit & Run : Reason.com

Of course, Obama could end this controversy by removing marijuana from Schedule I but he doesn't have the balls to do it.

Rick Santorum is also a "Reefer Madness" charter member.
Former Sen. Santorum is opposed to the legalization of marijuana for any purpose, including medical use. He does not believe states have the right to set their own marijuana policies and supports enforcing federal prohibition laws in states that have rejected them.

Puritan control freak Huckabee opposes medical and recreational MJ. He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a position of power.

The war on drugs is nothing but a way for the Feds to get money to local governments. The War On Drugs has not stopped a damn thing. When the smugglers can tunnel under Duncan Hunter's wall, the USA looks like a bunch of idiots. When local cops can take orders for cars, stop that model on the highway and confiscate and sell it , who's the crook.

BTW, My drug of choice is a glass of wine with dinner. Never used anything else, but I can sure recognize a scam when it hits me in the face.

Well not for nothing, but I don't see the GOP or Dems rushing to end it anytime soon. Ending the wholesale robbing and jailing of the citizenry for disagreeable habits seems to be less of a priority than looking for new ways of robbing them in order to control the climate or drop bombs.

If my daughter was going to die and MJ was a proven cure I'd move in a heartbeat from a state that didn't allow it to a state that did.

Or maybe I'd stay put and blame a fat guy.

As the obesity rate climbs, so Chris Christie's political base does expand.

He's a shrewd dude.

The people will push this through state by state, the times are changing.

I don't know how somebody can support Huckabee and say with a straight face they support freedom. Huckabee is about nothing but controlling people and forcing them to abide by his religious rules.
