And yet Barack Obama and John Kerry want it, because they regard it as desirable for their "legacy," regardless of how much the American people and the Congress are opposed to awful excuse for a "deal".
What a naive, elitist, self-serving tyrant Barack Obama is.
American voters oppose 57 - 28 percent, with only lukewarm support from Democrats and overwhelming opposition for Republicans and independent voters, the nuclear pact negotiated with Iran, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today.
Voters say 58 - 30 percent the nuclear pact will make the world less safe, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University Poll finds.
Opposing the Iran deal are Republicans 86 - 3 percent and independent voters 55 - 29 percent, while Democrats support it 52 - 32 percent. There is little gender gap as men oppose the deal 59 - 30 percent and women oppose it 56 - 27 percent.
The Iranians speak of "peace"?
They want "peace"?
They run in the streets celebrating "peace"?
You expect a nuclear armed Iran will promote world "peace"?
You're out of your mind. Evidently, as long as no one bombs YOU, you think there is "peace" at hand.
I don't know about you, but I'd venture that the American public (who have very limited information about the Iran deal as well as the facts and circumstances about Iran's nuclear program) is making a wild-butt guess about what it is about.
Surely, the American public is so much smarter than the leaders of Germany, Russia, China, France and Great Britain, as well as the US, who had nonpublic information.
You do know that the Iran deal arose from a multi-lateral negotiations, right? Obama and Kerry didn't decide everything. I bet the American public has no clue about that, either. There's a reason why more people watch Here Comes Honey Boo Boo than the news.
No, but our empty-suit, narcissistic-poser of a president does.
Look at that, third post in and you've already changed the subject. This isn't about the Iran Deal or the public's likely mostly uniformed opinion about it, it's about Obama. You just want to complain because a Democrat is in the oval office. Fine, but be honest about it. You don't care what the public thinks.
By the way, I prefer this deal over war. Do I think it will make everything better? Nope. But it's better than spending more money on a war that won't actually help. And hey, maybe the Iran deal will work. When you remove an already unstable theocracies economic assets, it only becomes more unstable. Perhaps reviving those will stabilize that nation some.

Present the deal to the American public in the context of what's bolded above and you will see the sentiment shift toward approval pretty quickly. As it should.
Most Americans have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.
I certainly don't want them determining critical matters of international importance.

Precisely why we aren't a Democracy. Representative government, while just as susceptible to stupidity (obviously...), is more apt to make more informed decisions rather than just bending to public opinion completely. Although, Obama's handling of it in a not-so-representative way is still a valid criticism, this deal is still better than war. Because here's the thing, if the deal doesn't work... oh well. If the war failed, we'll get another ISIS, and probably worse since the source country would be a much more radical nation than Iraq.
86% of Republicans claim they support our troops, yet want to send them to die in a desert ****hole...again.
