I don't like this deal either and I voted for Obama both elections. I don't trust Iran and they are still talking aggressively against us. There should have been a trial period, where we have full access and if that actually happens, then after 90 days or whatever the sanctions will lift. However, all this is doing is putting 100% faith in Iran, which I don't trust for a second as of now.

What does that have to do with the actual deal ??????

The point of the deal is to stop them from getting a nuclear weapon by monitoring their activities.

No deal, by the Estimates of those against this is 5 to 8 years and they have a bomb

With a deal, its at least 10(15 if we assume a stalled time line).

I dont understand being against the deal.

If Iran is really developing a nuclear weapon, they aren't going to stop deal or no deal. They will just hide the location. All this would do is give them literally BILLIONS of dollars to fund a nuclear program, build up their military, it will make them a much stronger country, which will give them a lot more leverage. Right now, their country is doing terrible because of the sanctions. If/when we lift those sanctions we need to be 110% sure because as soon as they are lifted, the money is going to be flowing into their country.

The sanctions dont fully stop until 8 years into the deal, obviously if we find them cheating, that ends, but that is still 8 years from now.

And even if the sanctions did stop immediately today, they wouldnt spend it on the military, they would spend it on the people. Iran isnt North Korea, they actually do have elections and no elected leader is stupid enough to build up its military while its people starve.

Further more, I have seen no one argue that having the deal speeds up the timeline.

So again, i dont understand your argument of being against the deal.

Well, according to the guy you voted for, you are a warlike neocon for even doubting his "deal" (don't call it a treaty) with Iran.
