It wasn't illegal to remove an ectopic pregnancy before Roe vs. Wade.

Stop with the hyperbole Abortion is NOT the torturing or killing of innocent babies! You need to educate yourself on the differences between a zygote, embryo, fetus, and baby.

"life of the mother" is so rare it should not factor into the discussion.

It is also religiously permissible to abort in those cases anyway.

800 women die in childbirth in the usa every year. it's not rare if they were in your family.

Here you go. this is directly pulled from the 2012 Democatic Party Platform (link provided) I emboldened the part that clearly indicates the party's position that there should be no restriction on abortion at all, whatsoever.

https://www.democrats.org/party-plat...tecting-rights

Protecting A Woman's Right to Choose. The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman's right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay. We oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right. Abortion is an intensely personal decision between a woman, her family, her doctor, and her clergy; there is no place for politicians or government to get in the way. We also recognize that health care and education help reduce the number of unintended pregnancies and thereby also reduce the need for abortions. We strongly and unequivocally support a woman's decision to have a child by providing affordable health care and ensuring the availability of and access to programs that help women during pregnancy and after the birth of a child, including caring adoption programs.

hope that helps ya.

I agree but for some perspective, that's 0.000003 percent of the population. So the chances of that sort of drama are extremely, extremely small.

Let's just say that not many abortions are currently being performed to save the lives of mothers to be. Or rather, mothers not to be.

1 Million abortions are performed every single year.

you are not seriously suggesting the above statistic is a valid reason for abortion are you?

Of course, and this is even with abortion being legal. So the legality of abortion didn't save their lives.

These 800 women COULD have terminated their pregnancies but for whatever reasons chose not to. And most pro life people would still make the exception for women whose lives were in jeopardy, so I wouldn't expect these numbers to change regardless of the where the law stood.
