They aren't going to ask the Republican candidates about Citizens United because they know they will all lie through threw their teeth to keep those big donations coming their way.

Jeb Bush touched on this at RedState. He proposed something like a 6 year ban after leaving office to conduct lobbyst type work (wasn't paying close attention), but regardless he wouldn't have even mentioned it if it weren't for Trump.
This would likely be unconstitutional also. The government can't curtail how you make a living when its a lawful job.

Yep, I don't believe them for a second. Big promises, no action. They are too afraid to say anything negative about someone in their own party, so nothing gets done. Cruz's response about calling McConnell a liar was spot on.

One of the reasons why Trump is gaining in popularity is because he says, I have my own money, so I won't owe any of my business friends' favors.
If Citizens United was revoked or even further policies were put in place to limit large donations from any individual, corporation, union etc then wouldn't that fix this issue?
Why isn't this question being asked because if XYZ came out and said, "Trump is right about our election process. It requires tons of money to win and politicians go out requesting money from big donors and end up owing favors that sometimes conflicts with campaign promises. However, simply saying I have my own money, doesn't solve the problem. If I became president, I would cap the amount any organization or person can donate." I think they would take a lot of the thunder away from Trump and even get some respect from Independents and moderate Democrats.

Well, that depends on how Rand Paul counts money. We do know Rand Paul is in love with Citizen United... not without reasons. He will surely NEVER support getting rid of the blasphemy.
