California goes the way of Iran...........possibly a part of the US, Iran deal. Now we see why people are not gay!

Iran's Sex-Change Operations Provided Nearly Free-Of-Cost

Although it has some of the strictest laws on sexuality and same-sex relations in the world, Iran also has a reputation for an extremely liberal sex-change operations industry.

According to the BBC, the Iranian regime recently made sexual reassignment even more accessible by announcing that health insurance companies must cover the full cost of sex-change operations, which can cost upward of $3,000.
Iran performs more sex-change operations than any country in the world except for Thailand; the surgery industry has attracted patients from all over the Middle East and as far away as Eastern Europe.

In a country where same-sex relationships are punishable by execution, sex-changing surgeries may mean the difference between life and death.

....and as long we can keep the cost under $100, lets go for it.

California is first in the nation to agree to pay for a transgender inmate's sex reassignment operation, but the state's settlement of a recent court case sidesteps the question of whether such surgery is a constitutional right.

The state concedes that Shiloh Quine, who entered the California prison system in 1980 as Rodney, suffers severe gender dysphoria that can be treated only by physically conforming her body to her psychological gender.

The agreement to settle Quine's federal lawsuit seeking the surgery was announced late Friday, with a brief statement from the corrections department that "every medical doctor and mental health clinician who has reviewed this case, including two independent mental health experts, determined that this surgery is medically necessary for Quine."

What about the people who want face lifts and boob jobs too? Why do they have to suffer thru their incarceration without feeling complete?

According to the L.A. Times article, Shiloh Quine (formerly known as "Rodney") was convicted of first-degree murder, kidnapping and robbery and is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

The State of California should allow the sex reassignment surgery to be performed. However, members of the murder victim's family should be the ones allowed to perform the "surgery."

It seems that if you want a sex change and can't afford it, go to California, commit a crime that will put you in for a year or so and get it for free.

Let's say the surgery costs $250,000. A year or two in prison would essentially be an extremely high paying job.

You kinda lost your moral high ground with that last sentence. Nice attempt though. I was with you up until the end.

What do you mean, "doesn't have a choice but to pay for it?" Please indulge me.
