The Oathkeepers have been to Ferguson before, and nothing has ever happened. It seems that they have kept cool heads, and are clearly not there to invoke violence. While I agree with you that there is a potential that something bad could happen, however, the Oathkeepers have been in a number of tense situations in the last couple of years, and haven't had any incidents.

While I would never show up to one of these hot spots (armed or not), there is no doubt that when people that are trained show up armed, everyone knows they are serious, and people tend not to mess with serious people.

The police are trained, Oathkeepers are just their for show, I doubt the police need their assistance. If you really want to see the area explode again then have one of the Oathkeepers shoot a black person. There are black hoods that are taking advantage of the situation, the police don't need the added problems this brings to the plate.

Can't imagine how the police would react if large groups of black men showed up, dressed in paramilitary garb and open carrying.
