Days Inn Workers Told To Flip Mattress Where Guest Died: Lawsuit

This is absolutely horrific, and turned my stomach. My understanding is that when organic fluids from a dead body are present, cleanup of blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) it is illegal for anyone without the proper permits to clean it up.

When I was a flooring contractor, I had the unfortunate task of changing out floors where a person had been murdered, or simply died, several times in my 30-year career. The crime/death scenes had to be cleaned by a licensed cleaner and treated like a hazmat site. The scenes had to be released before we were allowed in.

This hotel owner needs his franchise pulled and handed some jail time... like 10 years.

A few years ago I saw a story on the news about how many mattress companies were selling "reconditioned" mattresses. They were just putting new fabric over the old mattress. The used mattresses were being collected from hospitals, motels, and even being taken out of dumpsters. They tested the fabric and found horrible things like blood, feces, urine, bed bugs, etc.

You brought back a really bad memory of staying in a sleazy Palm Springs motel. I had contracted to renovate their restaurant. I had my wife and our two sons (5 and 7) in tow. When we turned down the bed, we found it had been made up with the prior occupant's negligee and a used condom. YUK!

Now you need to figure out a way to turn off the partisanship. Your response was disconnected at the very least.

Consider the hotel owner is middle eastern, so I HIGHLY doubt he's a conservative. Nor would I give credit to today's liberals (progressives) for enforcing any of the laws their more moderate counterparts of yesteryear created. What this guy did was flat out illegal, and it has nothing to do with politics. I posted in here because it is clearly a controversy.

You DO know Nixon created the EPA... right?

IMHO, Thanks goes to progressives (in both parties) for subverting regulatory agencies to enforce their whimsical need to control everyone and everything.

<facts never off>

Say what now about partisanship?

And since when are "Middle Easterners" NOT conservatives?

And why is this in "Politics" anyways?

I used to work at a hotel where somebody died shooting drugs and laid on the bed for 12 hours before the junkie chick staying in the room with him came down to the front desk to report it. The manager had Housekeeping do a 'Deep Clean' on the room and it was made up and sold the next day. I told the manager to his face that if any of his family stayed at our hotel I would assign them this room. The only reason he didn't scold me for insubordination was because he didn't want to chance losing me because of what a fantastic job I did. I was offered a better job in a much better hotel two months later and quit. My old coworkers have reported that the hotel has gotten even worse and it is now a known hotspot for drug dealing and prostitution.
