What do you think the 4 year long California drought is caused by?

High Pressure Zone? Man-made? Farmers drilling water causing land collapse and the reminscent Dust Bowl period in the 1930's? Geo-Engineering? (weather manipulation) Do you think the drought will ease up? What happens to this state if the drought continues?

I lived there as a kid and it rained quite a bit. We had dew on the grass and rain puddles to splash in. I wish I knew the answer as to why...

Is it possible to manipulate the weather? link:

How about adding more and more people to the population each and every day. All those millions of people are going to need water.

I sure am glad we are building water storage systems here in California to catch all the rain from the El Niño this winter, oh wait, we're not.

El Nino and the Pacific Blob aren't helping.

It's not just California...It's a global problem.

Twenty-one of the world’s 37 largest aquifers — in locations from India and China to the United States and France — have passed their sustainability tipping points, meaning more water was removed than replaced during the decade-long study period, researchers announced Tuesday. Thirteen aquifers declined at rates that put them into the most troubled category. The researchers said this indicated a long-term problem that’s likely to worsen as reliance on aquifers grows.
