Most of my suits were made in America (the remainder Italy).

Less formal American clothing is hard to find.

I vaguely remember an American co. making high quality hoodies for like 60 bucks they promised would last for years. Wish I could remember the name as I need a new one.

I'm still bummed LL bean offshored to China. The quality is noticeably less, yet the prices remain high.

I didn't much care for their advertising either. Well, I did, actually. But not in a way that made me want to buy their clothes.

That was it (seems I was off on the price or it went up in the x years since I heard of them).

Thanks!

The existence and popularity of WalMart seems to be proof that most Americans would rather buy cheap than buy American. According to Forbes 80% of US consumers shop at Walmart at some time during the year.

I loved the idea of American Apparel. Just not the clothes.

Can't complete with Made in anywhere besides America?
Why should I pay more for "made in America"? Products should always be made in the most cost efficient location. Americans benefit from cheap overseas labor.

It would be stupid not to. Why shouldn't we buy from the cheapest source (assuming the same quality)?
