Thank goodness 2016 will be the "hottest year on record" so we can have this discussion all over again!

The NOAA has cooked the books to generate this result. They have been caught in the act several times now, and we have discussed this here on this board.

These people cannot be trusted, and neither can this report.

And I'll say that you are wrong.

That is important because last year was the warmest on record and a .2 degree increase in one year is huge.

NOAA: July hottest month on record, 2015 could be hottest year - CNN.com
We had the largest amount of rainfall ever reported in July in CA.
In the winter didn't we have record snow almost everywhere?
The sunspots are not active and people are actually saying the sun is acting like it did last time before the mini ice age.

It is supposed to rain very well this winter.

I think we are just in a typical long range weather pattern. The pattern probably cycles over the course of many lifetimes so humans always feel they are living in end times based on their one short lifetime.

Let me make you a simple, believable promise. The planet will be here when we are all gone.

NOAA: July hottest month on record, 2015 could be hottest year - CNN.com
From Summary Information | National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI)

Quote:
The July average temperature across global land and ocean surfaces was 1.46°F (0.81°C) above the 20th century average. As July is climatologically the warmest month for the year, this was also the all-time highest monthly temperature in the 1880–2015 record, at 61.86°F (16.61°C), surpassing the previous record set in 1998 by 0.14°F (0.08°C).

Quote:
The July globally-averaged sea surface temperature was 1.35°F (0.75°C) above the 20th century average. This was the highest temperature for any month in the 1880–2015 record, surpassing the previous record set in July 2014 by 0.13°F (0.07°C). The global value was driven by record warmth across large expanses of the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
Quote:

•The year-to-date temperature combined across global land and ocean surfaces was 1.53°F (0.85°C) above the 20th century average. This was the highest for January–July in the 1880–2015 record, surpassing the previous record set in 2010 by 0.16°F (0.09°C).

•The year-to-date globally-averaged land surface temperature was 2.41°F (1.34°C) above the 20th century average. This was the highest for January–July in the 1880–2015 record, surpassing the previous record of 2007 by 0.27°F (0.15°C).

•The year-to-date globally-averaged sea surface temperature was 1.21°F (0.67°C) above the 20th century average. This was also the highest for January–July in the 1880–2015 record, surpassing the previous record of 2010 by 0.11°F (0.06°C). Every major ocean basin observed record warmth in some areas.

The current el Nino is also looking like it is shaping up to be on par with or stronger than the one-in-a-century 1997-98 el Nino - transferring some of that stored heat from the deeper layers of the ocean to the surface.

What? You didn't automatically swallow without question what a tabloid 'journalist' from the Daily Telegraph UK wrote?

The 'journalist' Christopher Booker even used a conspiracy blog by a layperson as his source! Why would you even dare to question the veracity of his claim?

El Nino will probably make this a record year as it lasts into the fall.

Climate change wasn't even brought up in the last debate and pols like Ted Cruz keep claiming that the earth hasn't warmed in 17 years. You have to wonder where they get their data.

Marco Rubio's opinion is about to change, I don't see how he can ignore the extensive evidence in Florida.
