Do you think you'd get prosecuted/convicted?
How would a judge/jury see it? Or are child molesters looked at by 99.99% of society as so low that no punishment is harsh enough?
I'm thinking of the dad in FL who beat the hell out of the guy who he caught molesting his son. That guy didn't get in any trouble and was hailed as a hero.
You need to come clean and tell us what you motive is for this thread?

What does CCW have to do with anything, in this situation?

I think you are just trying to corner "guns" period....

Sorry, but a failed thread...really...

Many child molesters have at one time been victims themselves, at least now it's more acceptable to come out and discuss, that was not the case in decades past. Killing someone over anything is a very serious matter and destroys several lives, forever.

My neighbors have young children. Sweet kids. If I catch some guy molesting them then I'd do everything I could to stop him including killing him. If the guy is caught by the dad, he'd be in a bad way. Dad is 6'6" and is a strong oil field worker. Another neighbor with young kids is an avid hunter who hunts with guns and bows. If he caught slipping someone molesting his daughter, that guy would be dead and his body might never be found.

Child molesters don't do well in prison.

There have been nationally covered cases where parents killed molesters. Even the most peaceable people draw the line at their family's safety and well being. I have no doubts that I could, and would, kill someone molesting my child. Catching them in the act, it would be a certainty. The same would apply to someone attacking any of my loved ones. Some things you just know, within yourself.

As to whether or not someone gets prosecuted for something like that, a lot depends on the jurisdiction. I would say the vast majority of DAs would be hesitant to try. At least in a serious fashion, especially if the perp was caught in the act. Putting together a jury that would even consider a conviction , would be extremely problematic. The odds are not in a prosecuters favor for that, and a smart DA would be thinking about what trying to imprison a parent for protecting their child would do to him/her on election day, as well.

If I caught them in the act, 100% yes without a doubt or hesitation.

Wouldn't be a problem. However, I would not kill him under the circumstances that would land me in jail. I would pick my own time and place, and make sure he never repeated the act again,.....ever....

I don't view these folks as humans. Its more like sub humans that prey on humans. No place in society for them.

Go ahead, kill him, like a fool. Then go to prison yourself for taking the law -- murder -- in your own hands.

Do what a legal-minded citizen would do -- stop him, then call the police. Otherwise, you are the THUG!
