Explain how a peasant from South America takes jobs away from Americans.

I never had to compete with an ilegal immigrant for a job. Who is being hurt by this competition?

I admit that my gardener, painter, and plumber (unlicensed) are for south of the border but they do the job quite well for much less money. The lady that took care of my mother before she passed was also ilegal and was a gem.

If you are a typical high earner conservative Republican: Please explain to me how these folks are a threat to you.

What gives?

Same question for liberal democrats:

Is xenophobia an issue. Does it bother you to hear Spanish north of the border?

The threat comes to our tax system because we taxpayers complete their income with housing, medical, education, and food. They are costing us millions and YOU and a few others are reaping the benefits. They are invading our country and hiring them should be considered treason. You are definitely part of the problem.

Is your post for real? I am finding it hard to believe a person who is even middle class would have errors like yours unless English is your second language.

OP, why do you continue to pose these questions, and then berate the people that answer them for not agreeing with you??

Are you saying that illegals get free housing, medical care, and pensions? Could it be this is a bit overblown? Do you have a study that shows how much money the illegals get? I can see legal poor immigrants draining the system, but I don't see how these folks that live in the shadows are so costly. Do they take jobs away from you? Please explain.

Yes, illegals provide a service to many Americans such as mowing the lawn, cleaning hotel rooms, restaurant cooks, etc.

I think this is a legit question. Politicians use this as a escape goat to explain how bad things are in the US economy.

I don't think the issue is competing with illegals for a job, the issue is about the economical impact of uncontrolled mass illegal immigrants.

A strong country isn’t one that pulls up the drawbridge … it is one that controls immigration. Because if you have uncontrolled immigration, you have uncontrolled pressure on public services. And that is a basic issue of fairness.

Uncontrolled immigration can damage our labor market and push down wages.

Mass immigration (in this case, illegals) is one of the reason why accident and emergency units at too many of our hospitals are in crisis and why our schools are increasingly overcrowded.

Every country has an immigration law that is suitable for that country. Law is there for a reason.

why do you think there is immigration quota?

Even the passionate supporters of the socialist Bernie Sanders know that we cannot afford all these feel good programs with an open border.

Don't get me wrong. I am fully in favor of building the wall.

I fully agree, and I am in favor of the wall.
But, at the same time I think our politicians have found a convenient excuse to explain away many other issues. And they conveniently avoid the concept of crony capitalism which hurt Americans even more.
