MSN reports Planned Parenthood Videos altered in bold print, may be misleading due to selective editing. Small print in same article says experts who reviewed edited footage and original full length videos cannot determine if edited video is actually misleading.

IF an expert cannot tell if the edited video is inaccurate when compared to the full story video side by side, how can the media imply the edits make it misleading? It would seem that an expert would be able to tell if something was misleading even without the original video. They are experts on the topic, right? I wonder about the experts if they cannot look at two tapes and tell if they portray the same message or not. My kids were doing that in elementary school and were graded it on it as if it were an important life skill. I guess experts picked by the media are not intended to be as smart as a first grader. SMH

If the videos were edited to include a misleading bias, it should have been obvious and shouted in the media. If that bias could not be found, then it should have been reported that the video had been analyzed and found to be seemingly accurate since experts could not determine any edits that created a false impression or misleading story.

If the expert analysis was so inept as to be worthless, then the story should never have run.

Coming from the group that altered the Zimmerman 911 call and police photos, this finding of "altered" is....interesting.

How so? The story indicated a 2 hour video was shortened to 8 and 15 minute segments. Aside from that it does not indicate any content was changed. Every newscast does exactly the same thing to the broadcast news stories. I would shoot 45 minutes of tape and 35 seconds of it hit the air. Unless the content was manipulated, and the "experts" could not determine that occurred, how is the "alteration" interesting regardless of who actually did it?
