Absolutely disgusting. Why do we let these animals become police officers? And I bet you anything they won't get in a lick of trouble for it either.

Maybe NOW people will be outraged???

Don't really know what to say. Have probably posted close to 100 cases of Police brutality, excessive force, murder, etc and not too many people have cared. Some even come to the defense of the Police.

Police reform is a very serious issue to me. One of the most important to our safety and freedom.

Because we're all suspected terrorists and murders FIRST.
This is how the DHS has trained local LE's over the course of the last 10 years.

This isn't isolated to a single area.
There are stories like this coming from cities all over the US.
We ARE living in a police state whether one wants to admit it or not.

Even with all their backup, bullet proof vests, guns, clubs, tazers, mace and supposed training, cops sure are a cowardly lot.

I find it says a lot about people, when they jump to conclusions concerning an incident they know little about. Obviously it was more dangerous than the report indicates. Remember, you can easily kill someone with a screwdriver just as you can with a knife. The mother must have had some reason to fear her son or she wouldn't have called 911 in the first place. Before making a typically knee jerk judgment, maybe you should first hear all the facts. The mother now minimizing the size of the screwdriver is her own guilt and sadness over the death of her son, which is totally understandable. Also, the police have no idea what they are dealing with when they walk into someones home who has just called 911. The man does not have a label on his forehead, mentally ill.

Folks, try to think instead of having your reasoning swayed by your emotions by some quicky news report. Remember, the news is not the news. They're just selling commercials. Remember the famous axiom in news, "if it bleeds, it leads" They all fundamentally work for the National Enquirer.

And all you that hate the police so much, remember NOT to call 911 when you're threatened.

This happened in my area, so I've been interested in it.

The mother called the police; Policeman A showed up, was calm, did a great job, and just talked to the kid.

Policewoman B showed up, and was calm, did a great job, and just talked to the kid.

At that point everything was fine, nobody was in danger, and the situation was on its way to being resolved.

Then... policeman C showed up, and within 70 seconds of his arrival, the kid was shot and an EMS was on its way. He ordered the other two officers to taze the kid, and was quoted as saying, "I don't have time for this," before he shot the kid.

According to the mother, when policeman C fired his weapon, it almost hit the other two officers, who were subduing the kid at the time. One of the officers checked his own abdomen to see if he'd been shot.

It sounds to me like you're jumping to conclusions as well, defending the police because you assume they acted properly.
