Not necessarily, here is some estimates from a Pew study. Note that these aren't all fraudulent registrations, it does highlight the potential for fraud.

Quote:
Inaccurate, Costly, and Inefficient
  • Approximately 24 million—one of every eight—voter registrations in the United States are no longer valid or are significantly inaccurate.
  • More than 1.8 million deceased individuals are listed as voters.
  • Approximately 2.75 million people have registrations in more than one state.

Dems do have a great turnout machine, we know that.
As stated before, this is because registrars either cant or wont do their jobs. You have to manually remove dead people and people who move from the voter rolls.

I would like to remind you that Republicans control Michigan(which had the most counties on the list)

Various watchdogs groups have identified thousands of dead people who are still registered to vote in every state. They also find that some of them continue to vote, despite being dead. While there's not enough to make a difference in a national election, they certainly could in some tight local elections.
I have never once seen that proven. I have seen it be debunked because the poll worker simply marked the wrong name or because 2 people across the state have similar names.

I have no issue requiring voter ID. Who are these people that manage to live their lives without an ID?
There are plenty of people who do, you can go on Youtube and view local stories of people who have voted for 60 years but couldnt last year because of voter ID laws.

Romney won most of those counties. Was he committing voter fraud?

The big deal is they are not demanding photo ID's to protect the vote. They are doing it to suppress the vote among Democrats. That's why we have 8 hour lines, but only in Democratic areas. It's why they are not taking any other actions to "protect the vote" because those measures wouldn't suppress the vote

How many places still have those machines that don't leave a paper trail thus making it impossible to do a recount? Are the Republicans fixing that? How about ballot boxes where you can drop in more than one ballot at a time? Anything being done about them?

Many, but there are other problems too.

The state of Alabama is about to shut down all but 4 of its DMVs. Huntsville,Birmingham, Mobile, and Montgomery.

There are going to be days where there are thousands of people in line, losing entire days pay just to get a piece of laminated paper.

Voting locations are set up at the county level. You are having lines because the county isn't spending enough money to open an adaquit number of polling stations. Most urban counties are run by democrats and most rural counties are run by conservatives. You are blaiming the wrong people.

It has nothing to do republicans.

As the niece of a long-time (Republican) county elections administrator in a very Red county, I know for a fact that the number of registered voters and the number of so-called eligible voters will NEVER match at any given point in time.
People move in, move out, die, change names, turn 18 (actually 17 yrs, 10 months here in TX) and register to vote for the first time, life goes on. But I agree the biggest problem is the lag in removing deceased persons. It takes a month to receive the deceased notice, up to a month to verify and manually enter it, then another month for the entry to take effect. If all goes well, that's a 3-month lag. In the meantime, persons who turn 17 yrs 10 months have no idea nor reason they should register right then so they're not added to the rolls but they would be counted as age-eligible voters.
All that can create a considerable gap.

I'd be more concerned if the numbers ever matched.

ONLY 141 counties in the entire US have a discrepancy? Wow, something's wrong there, the number should be way higher.

This is untrue(or at least misleading)
The board of elections handles polling places( that is state not local)

Many large cities are in counties controlled by republicans. Atlanta was one up until last year.

Further more, While the specific location in and of itself is up to the county, the state board of elections hands qualifications for locations.
