And she did file with the supreme court for a stay, they refused which is why she is now in jail on contempt of court charges.

Christians don't follow the Old Testament. They believe they Jesus' sin washed away the need for it. While to the non believe it seems like cherry picking it's not really. They only take what is written in the New Testament as law.

Yeah most of these "get government out of the marriage business" guys were all too happy to have the government ban SSM not too long ago. Their logic continues to dazzle doesn't it?
But don't you see? By banning SSM, they essentially kept government completely out of the marriage business for same-sex couples. Where hetero couples still suffered under the yoke of government intervention in their marital affairs, the conservatives set the same-sex couples free, completely free, of any and all government meddling. The gays were going to be pioneers of the new non-government marriage - yet, did they appreciate it? Oh no. The ingrates.
If Kim Davis accepts pay for not doing her job, she is stealing from the tax-payers.
They elected her and now they must suffer.

Whether or not the couples coming before her conformed to OT morality regarding marriage did not seem to be an issue for her - until a gay couple appeared.
