Heh - People are so stupid. Build a wall they said. China has a wall why can't we he says.

idiots.

The estimated cost of a border wall with Mexico is five billion dollars,” he said. “We could easily blow the same amount of money on infrastructure repairs and have nothing to show for it but functioning highways.

for 6 fo 8 years under clinton the DOT's budget was cut or zero increase

1995/6 dot budget was 39 BILLION...2 billion cut from 95 to 96
DOT GETS $36.9 BILLION IN CLINTON BUDGET HIGHWAY TRUST FUND TO PAY FOR AMTRAK | JOC.com

the 1998 budget...and $38.4 billion for DOT, a cut of about 1 percent.
http://www.tirebusiness.com/article/...bill-would-cut

wasnt till fy2001 (clintons last fy ) that DOT saw a increase in its budget bring it back up to 46 billion

during the bush years DOT was dramaticly INCREASED, trying to fix the infrastructure cuts of clinton...increasing the DOT budget from 46 billion to 77 billion

obama admin has also increased the DOT budget for FY15 to 97 billion, with the FY16 expected to cross the 102 billion mark

now saying the budget of the entire DOT has gone from 39 billion to 100 billion over the last 3 -(two term) 8 year admins is not saying the whole story, since one of the biggest parts of the DOT budget is the failing moneyhole of Amtrak

Obama spent nearly $1 trillion on his "spendulus" plan. We were promised that it would fix the country's infrastructure while creating jobs. Are you saying that plan failed miserably? That we got nearly nothing for $1 trillion dollars?

That's what he's saying.

Shovel ready jobs were not as shovel ready as we thought. That's a direct quote.

Jobs were shovel ready. If you liked your plan you could keep your plan. If he had a son he would look like Trayvon. The oceans were going to cease to rise and the planet was going to begin to heal. He never attended a Wright sermon that contained hate-filled rhetoric. He heard it for the first time while watching the news, just like the rest of us. He won a Nobel Peace Price on the promise of what he would accomplish.

It was all a lie.

Excellent point by the OP, haven't heard a peep from the current campaign about repairing our roads and bridges.

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) indicated we need trillions to repair infrastructure, the report in 2013 indicated $3.6T. They don't want to raise the gas tax and the states don't have the money to fund repairs, waiting for the next bridge to fall down. Plenty of money for DOD but nothing for construction for our cities.

Makes a nice sound bite but 40- 50 % of illegals are here via expired visas.
