Here's some hope and change you can believe in. I remember when Americans respected authority, but now after 7 years of the "Great Community Organizer" the cops are targets. Strong work Democrats. Really hope you're happy.
You know....on my way to work this morning traffic was terrible. It was also the first day of school. Hmmmmmm....traffic must have been terrible because it was the first day of school. Brilliant Watson!!! Thanks "Back to School" . Come to find out there was a car accident and traffic was down to one lane. Moral of the story: Coincidence is not causation.

There was a lot going on when the Dems were in charge, the affordable health care was first priority. Infrastructure was always talked about as necessary, but was blocked every time the republicans decided to shut down the government. How quickly you guys all forget that stuff. As to the stimulus, that was to ONLY help right the country,after the disastrous recession left over from the prior admin. Thanks for asking!
Your post makes no sense. The stimulus was One Trillion dollars. That's a lot of cash that went to fill holes in local government budgets with very little infrastructure work. Remember that Obama found out that shovel ready was not so shovel ready? And you want to know why all that money was pissed away with nothing to show for it when 90 years ago we could have built ten Golden Gate Bridges for that money? It's because government is inefficient now. We have a huge bureaucracy that seems to be more concerned with increasing budgets, big wasteful conferences with no concern of costs (no need to with unlimited supply of taxpayer money and incentive to over spend so next year's budget is increased). Oh, and don't forget those employee bonuses over getting veterans the healthcare they need. The government "shutdown" didn't effect anything but people's ability to see memorials and monuments.
And when so many people were losing their jobs, perhaps employer-based insurance was not the way to go. But Obama needed something for his legacy even though it's still very unpopular.

Yeah....Obama coined the term "Pig".....you remember...right? Yeah.....cops shooting people in the back while they are running away or puling into a gas station and it appearing on national TV....does not have anything to do with the tarnished image of policing. It's all the fault of the first black president.
Since he has been most vocal on this subject and sent representatives to a criminal's funeral Obama ought to be addressing the public on violence against Law Enforcement needs to stop.
Anything else is breeding a bad, destructive culture.
Notice how this doesn't matter to those who supposedly want justice.

Arresting criminals is a crime? The people were paid to riot, or did you not hear this? Why would black burn down a sister's business, if they hated the cops?
There were alot of riots in the 1960s. Police brutality was one of the underlying factors. Hatred towards the police is nothing new. LA riots of 1992. Riots in Miami several times since the 1970s. Washington DC in 1991. Cincinnati in 2001. And not just here in the USA.
It's nothing new and I don't blame the President for this. This has been going on for decades.
I certainly do blame Obama. The obvious glaring disparity in how he responds to deaths of individuals. First of all, when a scenario has just developed to voice an opinion before the facts have come out is wrong and as a lawyer, albeit having forfeited his membership with the bar, he would know that. I certainly hope if I were on trial that people would wait for the facts before deciding. Otherwise, how far removed are we from lynch mobs of old? Far too close for comfort is my opinion.
He has a record of making a fool of himself actually, although, narcissist that he is he would never admit it. Consistently he has "guessed wrong". Starting with Professor Gates - moving on to Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown - he's on a role.
For a person who is (realizing he doesn't seem to remember the part of his oath that said to uphold thte law/constitution) supposed to be an example, to uphold the law - to judge someone and then despite being in the opposing opinion to say "never mind the jury we'll GET HIM another way" is offensive (he's so good at judging things offensive too bad he never chooses himself to be offended by). We should ALL be frightened by a system (Obama and Holder for starters) who vows to go after someone acquitted by a jury. It's an insult to a jury who sat dutifully listening to EVIDENCE - to disregard their diligence.
In essence, Obama and the media by their conduct and comments have given a sense of "entitlement" to riot. That is certainly NOT something we would look for in a president, it should never be to legitimize or encourage violence. Communication takes many forms and NOT SAYING SOMETHING has its own message "not worth caring about/of no concern". Obama's lectures on the evil white man and the vestiges of slavery at a time when emotions are already high do nothing to bring peace. HE DOESN'T WANT PEACE THOUGH, so I am not surprised by what he does.
To send a representative to the funeral of the not-so-gentle-giant filmed on camera bully Michael Brown and then send another again on the anniversary of his demise - while barely commenting with boiler plate "too bad" rhetoric when an officer of the law is killed is unacceptable conduct. I should think it would be to all. There are a whole lot of hypocrites out there, apparently, ready to condemn any and all pigs (fry them up like bacon) but who will damn sure jack be nimble jack be quick to dial 911 if their lives are imperiled, their home invaded. I know there are rogues out there, same as any other occupation - but by and large police officers do not get up every morning plotting how many people they can jerk around and/or kill today. They, like the rest of us, want to put in their time and go home to their families at night. They do have families and lives, you know.
Obama's open-door policy with his "advisor" on race relations (Al Sharpton, a racist of long standing) says a lot. It would be like George Bush having David Duke for his advisor and frequent guest at the White House. If people want equal treatment then it should be across the board. David Duke would be unacceptable and so should Sharpton be. Instead Sharpton has his own media from which to broadcast his racially charged agenda. He still hasn't apologized for Tawana Brawley. He and Obama have that in common, neither will you see apologizing.
To demonize all, to IGNORE that they are being set up, executed, slaughtered says more about the accusers than it does about the cops. Its also interesting that Obama has a 24/7 security team protecting his sorry ass - but at every opportunity he would like to take our guns and leave us defenseless.
Lest you think me a racist - I would say I was equally disappointed in the pathetic excuse for a governor of Missouri, Jay Nixon, who came out as did Obama, not knowing the facts, vowing to go get that bad old cop. I have not been a fan of Nixons but he sealed the deal with his undermining police which went on to escalate violence against them. People seeing that the police have no support are going to see that as an invitation to seek vengeance and indeed they did.
I could go on but you get the idea, if you don't then I'm wasting my breath anyway.

Give it a rest. Bad police officers brought this on themselves and good police officers do nothing to help by defending them or making themselves out to be victims. People like you have apparently lived under a rock if you think this was created in 2008.
Hypocrite, will you hesitate to call 911 hoping for police response if your home is invaded. How can you say a few bad cops brought this upon all cops but not say a plethora of black thugs brought violence upon themselves. You can't have it both ways. Judge the individual as it should be or judge the group?
Whatever occupation you have I venture to say there have been some bad ones - bad electricians, sleazy attorneys, are we to say that a few bad apples spoil the entire barrel then you too must be no good. That is not a personal attack, it is following your own logic to its conclusion.

Over 200 years of being chained in the holds of rat infested ships, sold at auction, families broken up, then bred like cattle, their children sold away from parents as soon as they were old enough to work, continuous rape of the prettier women. Being whipped and flayed, look that word, sister, on a regular and continuous basis. Being kept in near starvation conditions for GERERATIONS. And now you are going to get on YOUR high horse, and complain that a few cops got killed? Yeah it's sad, but slavery was TRAGIC.
At some point you must MOVE ALONG. Pull up your panties and get on with it. No one alive today was a slave and God knows there have been hundreds of programs just for blacks, there still are, but THEY CHOOSE NOT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE. How is it white peoples fault if black kids drop out of school. And the real proof is that black people have gone backward, a generation or two ago black families were no different from whites. Now 8 out of 10 black children are born into single parent/absent parent families.
How could it be that blacks were making progress - moving on from slavery yet with the passage of time they have slipped backward? It is because of choices they make. If you really care about black people you would stop enabling them and make a case for self-accountability. Telling them "poor baby" every time they stumble and fall (many times for acting recklessly) does not help them, it hinders them.
HOW MUCH is enough? And its not like blacks have a corner on the market of suffering. And - as you should know there were black slave owners and blacks who sold their brothers into slavery - but you will reward them still today?
You need to get your head out of yesterday and move on - but your attitude is a good demonstration of why some blacks have failed to thrive; they are more interested in being mired in yesterday than actually trying to do something with their lives.
There are many good examples of blacks who started life with less than optimal circumstances who managed to do quite well for themselves and if they can so can anyone else. Take your violin and play elsewhere PLEASE.
If you insist on reparations - IF we figure out who were true descendants of slaves lets start by paying back the welfare, the food stamps, free schools, free meals, section 8 housing, then we can talk about what is owed. CHOOSING welfare as a career is not white man's fault.
PROBABLY I will get a strike against me for trolling or attacking or taking over a thread or whatever but I will say right here I did nothing of the kind - I was responding on point to a post someone made, 3 responses is not trolling, its adding to the conversation. Eric Holder says we cowards need to have a "discussion" on race - I'd like that - I just don't want it to be what it certainly will be - a forum for SOME segment of blacks to whine and complain and deny any accountability which is not a discussion its a lecture/diatribe of to justify bad choices THEY MADE no one forced them.
