Cheapest average gas prices for late August since 2004 | AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report

Specifically for those who blamed Obama for high gas prices some years ago are we now ready to thank Obama for the current low gas prices?

Their innate hypocrisy would preclude that happening.

Or, you could look at reality and understand the POTUS has little/nothing to do with gas prices, high or low.

Default Isn't it strange that what makes Obama unhappy, makes the rest of the country jump for joy???

what are 'we' thanking him for?

You noted an association, what is the cause and effect?

How did Obama reneg on his promise to raise gasoline and energy prices?

What made him change his mind?

Apparently dropping gasoline prices are considered a failure by Obama.

Isn't it strange that what makes Obama unhappy, makes the rest of the country jump for joy???

Investors.com......

"Gasoline: As pump prices hit $4 a gallon, Energy Secretary Steven Chu admits the administration has no interest in bringing them down. Is it any wonder Democrats are growing increasingly agitated with this White House?
At a hearing this week, Rep. Alan Nunnelee, R-Miss., specifically asked Chu if "the overall goal" of the administration is to "get our price down." Chu's answer was no."

Then Obama ..

"promised to bankrupt anyone foolish enough to build coal-burning power plants, he also made an interesting admission about his entire energy plan. Obama told the editors that his policies would make energy prices “skyrocket” as the energy industry passed along the exorbitant costs of his cap-and-trade policy:"

Cheap? It's still ~ $3+ / gallon around here, it was cheaper when Bush was president.

So what - specifically - is it that Obama has done to cause any drop in gas prices?

With Obamacare sucking up more money from We The People , and the tax burdens of illegal immigration , and the stifling of wages because of cheap labor, it is a welcome sight to see gas come down.

Now I have noticed food prices going up on certain items.. maybe they think we have more money in our pockets to pay higher prices..

Obama never worked to bring down gas prices.. it is the world sector bringing more oil to the marketplace.

When Obama gets California to get rid of its rediculious tax rates and special blends that keeps its prices a dollar more than national average I will thank him.

Of course our governor is doubling down, proposing raising the nations highest tax even further on top of raising registration fees at the same time.
