“I’ve been just drilled by TV hosts over the past week, ‘How dare you say that, uh, it’s not the law of the land?’” Huckabee said. “Because that’s their phrase, ‘it’s the law of the land.’ Michael, the Dred Scott decision of 1857 still remains to this day the law of the land which says that black people aren’t fully human. Does anybody still follow the Dred Scott Supreme Court decision?”

Behold the brain power of the far rightwing fundamentalist Tea Party GOP. He had to be informed by the interviewer that Dred Scott was, in fact, no longer "the law of the land" and hadn't been for more than a century and a half.

I wonder if someone should inform Mr. Huckabee that prohibition is also no longer "the law of the land" either? He seems to be a bit behind on his history.

"I don't have any respect for the Religious Right. There is no place in this country for practicing religion in politics. That goes for Falwell, Robertson and all the rest of these political preachers. They are a detriment to the country."
Bonus points if you can name the person who spoke these words.

Poor Huck.

Noted, Huck acknowledged his people blocked Cruz from the stage in Ky.

Poor Cruz was reduced to giving impromptu press conferences to the local media while Huck a got all the media attention at a Huck event.

Two crazy peas in a pod.

Well, we see what voting Democratic has gotten them - nearly double the unemployment rate, ridiculous incarceration rates and dismal graduation rates. Yeah, it's been working out really well for them.

That was really pretty funny. Cruz, the master grandstander, was out-grandstanded by Huckabee. That had to hurt.
