That would be the funniest thing ever. And in all honesty, she might have grounds. They really truly are giving her advice thats glaringly incompetent.

So, does this mean the Oath Keepers are a homophobic, right wing extremist organization now?

Where does an oath to protect the constitution put them alongside someone wanting to mix church and state?

The "constitutionalists" are not extremist in it of itself, just their actions are extremists. Now sure, maybe the idea is judicial over-reach which in some cases maybe warranted. In the case of civil rights which includes the Civil Rights Act AND the 14th amendment to the Constitution, it is clear that a government official cannot deny individuals equal treatment under the law. Kim Davis is breaking that by not complying to the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage. The Oath Keepers are taking the side of states' rights but they really have no ground, especially when states' rights brought us some of the henious laws on the books including poll taxes, gay marriage bans, Jim Crow laws and yes, slavery.

From her her photo I thought Kim Davis was a man.
Funny how someone who looks like a dude in drag is so opposed to gay marriage.

She did the right thing coming out of that jail after two days or whatever... crying and clasping her hands and gazing skyward and all that nonsense, as if God had just rained manna from the sky. All the religious right-wingers eat that **** up. Sets her up nicely to go and cash in... ghostwritten books, shows, speeches... CHA-CHING!

Rhodes and a number of his armed thugs are on their way to Kentucky now. Their plan is to "educate" the sheriff on his responsibilty to block the actions of the federal court, and that his group is "ready to lead by example" to prevent Davis from being re-arrested.

Gee, what could go wrong here?
If they do try to intercede the U.S. Marshalls should open fire

More fat guys running to Kentucky. Great.

In all seriousness, I certainly don't want this to end in any armed conflict. However, I'm also a believer in rule of law.

The best thing that could happen right now is for Kim Davis to resign. The ball is in her court and blood, potentially, could be on her hands.
I wouldn't like to see any shots fired either. But if it's a choice between that or a bunch of wackos getting their way and being above the law just because they're armed then start shooting

The threat of an armed encounter...over this. Its just nonsensical. I wouldn't pick up a squirt gun filled with pee to "protect" this woman from catching on fire. Let alone face off with US Marshals. Because of gay marriage licenses. (Sigh) Yea, so there's a "judicial over reach" issue, and has, I do believe the judicial branch of our government is out of hand, with this legislating from the bench, but this threat of armed encounters between citizens and federal LE isn't going to help. Especially over an issue like this, on behalf of a person like this. There are scads more folks out there that are having their rights truly shredded by the government, in really nasty ways, that are far more worthy of concern.

I guess the cases aren't high profile enough. Not enough media blitz. Its amazing what the media chooses to hype up. They certainly are giving Davis her 15 minutes of fame.
