They've just put together a weekend which will nab almost every viewer in America. Such dim-wits, those folks at News Corp....

Fox Mashes Up the Supers

By DAVID CARR in The New York Times

Published: January 28, 2008
Fox is going to get an early jump on Super Sunday. At 9 a.m. E.S.T. next Sunday morning — more than nine hours before the coin is tossed — players and tactics will be scrutinized, coaches will get the once-over, and sideline savants will predict the outcome.

Except the veterans have names like Clinton and McCain and the rookie phenom under the microscope is called Obama. In a move to super-size an already sprawling day of programming, the News Corporation is mashing up the Super Bowl and Super Tuesday with a blend of its sports and news divisions.

Or for an interesting alternative we can tune into CNN. You might get 20 minutes between whats new with Britiny Spears. God damn throw her in jail already so that CNN can move on to someone else.

defending or promoting where you get your news is ridiculous... its like saying.. my political movements are better than yours.. look at the ratings... give me a break...
many people of opposite opinions tune in to just hear another alternative.. whether its cnn or fox... or msnbc... hardly means that everyone prefers one over the other.. or that because one is watched more.. their position is right... get real..

I have no idea what you are talking about. My post is about the cleverness of the Fox network to blend news and sports in a creative way that will earn a huge viewership. They are in the business of attracting viewers, after all...

I don't know. Especially with all the political coverage due to this being an election year, I think everyone would be greatful for a day without politics. This sounds like a victory for ESPN's pregame ratings, not Fox's.
