Suspect in church threat facing terroristic threat charge - KYTX CBS19.tv - News, Weather, & Sports | Tyler-Longview

Suspect's letter found at Cherokee County church after alleged t - WDAM-TV 7-News, Weather, Sports-Hattiesburg, MS

Apparently he's ape ____ crazy but thankfully the pastor was able to reason with him and calm him down. The pastor has a background in criminal justice and crisis intervention.

We heard about this here in northeast Texas but I was wondering if anyone outside this area had heard about this event.

I haven't heard about this......but, then again with the government wanting more immigrants in America, this would be bad timing for the public to hear.

Is this just in Cherokee county or a NA church?

The man committed this act in Cherokee county in a church near the Cherokee/Smith county line and then traveled into Smith County where he was arrested. He was a fugitive for several hours and was considered armed and dangerous so it was pretty big news here...for a day anyway.

There were children attending church there when he entered the building and announced that "people are going to die today." I am very impressed with the pastor's calm and effective response but like I said, the pastor has training in just that sort of crisis intervention so that was fortuitous.

Wow. This is news to me. It could have been a disaster and like you said...good thing the pastor and some of the congregation was able to calm the situation.

What amazes me is that this news didn't "get out" beyond our own neck of the woods (northeast Texas). It makes me wonder how many more events like this happen and we never hear about them.

Good idea to keep alot of this under wraps. With the many idiots out there who would commit a crime or threaten to commit it will take the joy out of it if your name and picture doent make the airwaves.

I think the media is too busy holding on to months and years of white medicated boys shooting up stuff. It would be too hard to report current events, it would strengthen the need to stop immigration for a while, something this administration wants no part of.

Haven't heard of it until now, and probably won't hear of it again. Doesn't fit the criteria for the anti-Christian or pro-muslim agendas.
