It has gone from defeating tyranny to becoming tyranny - crazy nutjobs buying hordes of guns to terrorize their local neighborhood walmarts and Targets, plotting to overthrow the US government, terrorizing minorities in their neighborhoods, etc

Anti-minority and muslim bigotry, hate crimes, etc are at an all time high and record number of "patriot rise against the government" groups have formed since 2009!

Where's this happening? Oh , I know there's fringe looneys, of all types, out there, but you write as if this is happening on a huge scale, and you have first hand experience. Or, do you just consider any gun owner to be as you describe? Besides, from what I'm seeing, blacklivesmatter has done a LOT more of this over throw the government stuff, killing cops, than any of even the worst right wing , close stepping groups.
But its OK that blacklivesmatter is arming AND attacking? That's a pretty knee jerk post, man. Most would demand links, but I don't have much faith in links. You can find anything on the web.

Is that what you envision when you hear the word "militia"? That's sad. In the context of US history, the militia are the good guys. Without the militia, this nation wouldn't exist. And we are still here. You don't hear about us on the news. We aren't parading around with our weapons. Not spewing anti government rhetoric. Not botbering anyone. Just living quiet lives. But, we ARE the militia. We will answer if we must defend our homes, community, nation. And there's a LOT of us.
Those groups in your link are a joke. I will say, I agree they are a nuisance. But disarming people like me, won't make that happen. If you are going to get rid of a wart, on your thumb, word you take your pocket knife, and cut it out, or chop off your thumb with a hatchet? Oh, sure, the warts gone, either way, but go with the hatchet, you'll figure out you need your thumb. There will come a day , where you'll figure out you'll need the militia , too. History speaks volumes.to that,
There's a lot of places, in the US, right now, that could do with some real militia action. I refuse to let the term be hijacked.

You must have flunked your history class. Ever heard of the Civil Right's Movement of the 1950's and 60's?
Oh and btw, plenty of minorities and Muslims own guns and are pro 2A as well.
