Where are you getting your information? As for drug addiction, check the drug problems in places like Colorado and then tell us it is a good thing!! I am not totallly adverse to legalization of pot, but I think young people haven't taken time to weigh both sides and many do not realize the difference in the stength of pot 40 year ago versus today. That is the issue that bothers me the most.

Please try to understand the illegal drugs in the US is big business. Big pharma, privately run prisons, etc., all make big bucks from the misery of addicts. These corporation and individuals run our politicians not for our benefit but in order to max their profits.

If you still think cannabis would be a problem then you must look at Colorado. I don't believe there was any "Reefer Madness" was there? Of course not. Marijuana 30 years ago or today is still not addictive and has benefits of which everyone is denied.

Marijuana has nothing to do with any drug-caused problems that Colorado or any other state has. When you're seeing drug-addled shells of human beings stealing and committing crimes, shooting up in alleys, terrorizing their families, those aren't people whose only vice is pot. No debate that marijuana is significantly stronger than it was a generation or two ago, but it's still not even on the same plane as drugs like meth and heroin.

For the record, I'm of the opinion that all drugs should be legalized for a variety of reasons that many other posters on this thread have articulated. But there is a big difference between marijuana and those others as far as their impact on the users as well as their communities.

That a pretty old article. Is there anything more recent?

...and this is why politicians like Cristie are so backassward in their thinking. Christie should have never said he would enforce federal drug laws in Colorado and Oregon. He basically committed political suicide by showing he still lives in the past, and is in the pockets of big pharma.

Or isn't the alcohol part what beer makes desirable to consume.

You say the craft brewing is huge in Phoenix.... in comparison to what other places? Lol. You might as well say sushi or Korean BBQ are huge in Arizona too.
In comparison to a lot of places. We have a very active Craft Brewers board, the governor is involved in the board and has passed legislation in favor of it as one of his first acts. I live by 5 microbreweries within 3 square miles. I'm not sure what you are getting at with the alcohol content in your post but there are many small breweries around town that you should support as they push out different kinds of beers. I don't know anybody who drinks non alcoholic beer, but most breweries don't make non alcoholic beer so I'd imagine they don't taste very good unless you're a PBR/Natty Ice kind of person.

Beer making is an art, like wine, you can create a wide variety of types that taste very different. It's a very popular social activity. As a result of supporting our local microbrews I've come to hate the taste of the mass produced urine water that you see in commercials. It has nothing to do with alcohol content but it is a nice feature.

It's not Colorado or Austin Texas but it's pretty big. The world exists outside of yours don't forget that. The Denver area is a Mecca of micro brewing especially around Ft Collins

As a republican that likes Christie, I couldn't agree more. And it's a shame because I though he would have done a good job if he got elected.

The first brewery in my town recently started up. I hadn't heard of milk stout beer until then. It's a hit on tap in local bars. The brewery's name, Iron Monk, means nothing other than what the two owners came up with after combining their two last names.

One of our larger breweries in town released this last winter.

Sex Panther (Seasonal) by SanTan Brewing - 6 pack

I appreciated the anchorman reference. The drink itself? A little heavy for AZ if need to be somewhere colder to enjoy it more.
