That the clock is an underachievement is true. That the kid got jumped on for being Muslim also appears true. The school and the police got carried away apparently driven by the ethnicity. And that becomes more credible in a town running an idiot campaign against Sharia.
What is the real evidence of his being "jumped on for being Muslim" aside from the family's claim?
And what does that have to do with supposedly science-minded people acting so illogically by jumping the gun on this and treating him as some sort of science/engineering prodigy?

He was not jumped on because he was a Muslim. WSJ wrote a great article showing a long history of similar reactions to other instances where the student was not a Muslim. Being a Muslim got Ahmed a whole list of benefits and free stuff. The rest of these kids just got arrested, suspended, etc.
And unlike Ahmed, some of the kids really did make interesting or cool inventions.
Much more to the story than what the media is saying and since the records have not been released because the parents won't give their permission - people are jumping the gun on blaming the school or the cops.

If the info hasn't been released how is it that you know who has jumped what?
What an interesting name for a business. In Texas. Where there are no twin towers.
By the way, one time I created a Christmas tree out of a green plastic binder. It was 3D, had a trunk, and even had ornaments. That's more fricken inventive than clock guts in a pencil case...where's my trip to the WH? And Google? And FB? And MIT?
...One of the earliest instances of the standout citizen making national news was in 2011, when he sensationally stood up to an anti-Islamic pastor and defended the Koran as its defense attorney. That mock trial at a Florida church ended with the book's burning, to ElHassan's claimed shock...
...In 2010, and again this year, the busy dad was nominated and ran for president of his native North African country from his home in Texas...
Just a quiet, humble, little family....
And for the fools who say that the teacher overreacted...this had just happened in Plano, TX the day before:
An arrest has been made after faculty, students and parents were scared Friday by a bomb scare at Clark High School in Plano...
Gee, I wonder why the teacher might have thought what she thought...
In case you are geographically challenged, Irving and Plano are about 25 miles apart...which means that the news was not in some city far away where they might not have heard about it.
Bye CD P&OC. Enjoy your Stormfront agenda without resistance.
How is it that so many of you who don't like other people's opinions have such an intimate knowledge of Stormfront.
I grudgingly give Ahmed and family much credit. For doing a low-level project and a few hours of inconvenience, he's become a heroic figure, hob-nobbing with bigwigs and traveling the world.
Your view is simply wrong. You do not get to define "arrest". And it would appear it was an arrest. Likely even more complex as it was in the school system as well opening up another set of laws and regulations.
It was a monumental screwup by those in authority no matter how you examine it.
come on pk - everyone is blaming the cops and the principal without the full story - kind of what the media is doing - don't be such a smart axx
No one has disputed that the police questioned him without his parents informed and present. That is a violation of his rights.
