For the same reason you'll run if Hell Angels picked a fight with you in a bar. ISIS is violent, well trained and intimidating.. If you lived there you would run too...
Instead of running, why don't those men fight ISIS.. they run and wait for our men to fight while they act like cowards and run. Most of them are able bodied men.

So if Obama was bombing Republicans and other "dissidents" in, say, Arizona and then hoards of narcotrafficantes were also attacking civilians regardless of their political event, you'd suit up and stay? Nope. And that's what Syrians are facing right now.

Saying "Well, not all Muslims are terrorists (or killers of gays, subjugators of women, murders of infidels, take your pick)" is a lot like saying "Well not all Nazis ran gas chambers". Doesn't mean we should just arbitrarily embrace them or import them into our country.
How about you embrace persons who just happen to be muslim? Such as my ex, his family, his friends. All muslims. I'm still in contact w/my ex & his sister, she's actually coming to the U.S. this fall & hopes to visit with me. Should I be cowering in fear that she's going to chop my head off when she comes? There are bad & good people everywhere regardless of their religion. I personally think religion is an utter scam & can't believe anyone believes in that tripe.

I like to compare this to the caveman who didn`t think he needed to stereotype all bears as cavemen eaters just because some bears eat cavemen.
Bears mostly removed this sort of stupidity from our gene pool ages ago, but not entirely.
