Okay, everyone.

I've been trying to do research on the peace movement, particularly, the movement for peace, harmony, and cooperation among races and among nations, particularly, to try to understand how far we have come since the ending of the peace movement since the last major issue the peace movement really was involved in (particularly the near war we never went to with Iran in the lat 2000s, during the Bush era), yet I can't find anything that seems to go past 2010 and 2011, around the time of the Arab Spring.

has the Peace Movement gone underground, or something?

Its not about "Peace." Its about the cost, and the waste of our own Troops lives. You must have misunderstood. We still want to kill the. ( Them, being anyone who wants to kill us.)

Well, the more important question I'm asking is, Globally, how far has the peace movement come since the bush era?

Most peace movement people just hated Bush. Now that Obama is making war they don't care as much.

It's impossible to have any real peace when your entire region/culture/religion and history is based on the complete murder, destruction and annihilation of anyone and everyone who doesn't agree with you.

No, its impossible to have peace, because we are all humans, not robots.

We live in a Malthusian world, where there will inevitably be competition for resources on some level, both across countries and within countries. As long as there are self-identifiable "others", there will always be the potential for great violence and insecurity. War is only one form of violence.

The only way to get rid of war, would be to basically have a "one-world government", but since humans wouldn't really want to live in such an arrangement(and because power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely), the only way to hold such a system in place, would be "overwhelming force". A one-world government would require one of the most oppressive governments one could possibly imagine.

You people need to read Thomas Hobbes' "Leviathan". Leviathan means "a power so strong that no one can resist".

There is no utopia retards.

Let me add, every human population has the same propensity to violence. It is rooted in the human desire to survive, and to make sure their offspring survive.

Multiculturalism doesn't really work. Either the presence of foreign cultures causes the original culture to change(and thus produce a new monoculture, IE melting pot), or it destroys itself through political and social division.

There is an assumption by many on the political left that basically all cultures are equal. And if our culture changes, it doesn't really matter. But is that actually true? Are all cultures equally "good", equally "peaceful"?

Every culture, and every people wants to be dominant. They want their culture to survive, to thrive, and to ultimately be the most relevant, and most influential. Just think of "language". Every single one of us has an affinity for "our own language"(unless you're a delusional leftist). Who honestly wants their language to die?

And before you spout out nonsense about how we should learn more languages. Lets understand that there are hundreds of languages in the world. Being bilingual or even trilingual is pointless in the grand scheme of things. In your glorious new-world order, most of those languages will simply inevitably die off.

I want English to be the "world language"(and it already is). But don't Hispanics feel the same? And the Chinese, Japanese, Russians, Germans, French, etc?

The world can never be what you people want it to be. There is no utopia.
