As they should, it is out of control. Ultimately this is good news, mistrust and cynisism will help to undermine its authority over us.

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Almost half of Americans, 49%, say the federal government poses "an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens," similar to what was found in previous surveys conducted over the last five years. When this question was first asked in 2003, less than a third of Americans held this attitude

Until they repeal the Patriot Act, I don't blame anyone for feeling threatened.

The Federal Government including the Supreme Court and President have routinely grabbed power meant for the states and they occasionally just abuse their power. This to me is scary but now with the changing demographic that doesn't support the philosophy and value of the Constitution, the rights of the individual or property rights, it's something to be truly concerned about in our future. This is why the continuance of the 2nd Amendment is so necessary to reign in the abuse of power that comes with confiscations without impunity.

That poll is a lie if HALF felt that way, then why are they not doing anything about it?

500 people who answered a phone call from an unknown caller feel threatened and 500 did not.

Most responses were non specific threats.

Interesting that only 15 / 500 felt threatened by unsecured borders, given the political blah- blah.

On the unsecured border and the "political blah-blah" that has more to do economics and the moving us into 3rd world status, loss of jobs to illegals, anchor baby drain on the public assistance teat by those babies from cradle to grave, etc. not so much that they will violently take over.

Ah, I don't think it is Congress that is making "executive orders" that are jeopardizing our country. Sadly, government, all of it at this point is "for sale". Oh, and the Supreme Court needs to be reigned in.

People are looking harder at choices for the next election so they are waking up.

Thankfully the Executive Branch is able to stop some of the bad decisions that might come out of Congress.
