Yep...this was all pretty predictable. And it's gonna get a LOT messier before it's over. The establishment GOP is on the warpath, and there's gonna be some serious carnage laying around once this leadership battle gets ramped up. Have fun Republicans!

The GOP will still easily maintain control of the House for many, many years. The extremism of the Democrats has alienated middle America.

So. They control it now (nominally). How's that working out?

"You just can’t continue to have a super-ultra-minority continue to try to dictate what happens in the House of Representatives. It’s a big problem,” Nunes said."

And yet, that's exactly what the establishment Republicans have allowed. Maybe this will be the thing that wakes the GOP up and pushes them to take control of their party back from the fringes. We can hope.

The problem is that they thought this stuff was cute at first and they flirted with it back in 2010 when it'd help them take back the House...or so they hoped. The establishment GOP couldn't get enough of these Tea Party fellows.

But of course being Republicans, they took the short term view as usual...when anyone could've told them that it would come back and bite them in the ass. Boehner figured that he could pacify this caucus...throw 'em a few peanuts, and they'd fall right in line. But he overestimated his diplomacy powers. The Tea Party Caucus ain't having it. They ain't settling for peanuts. They want the whole enchilada. They smelled blood in the water, and Boehner was too stupid (or too blind) to see that it was HE was the one hemorrhaging!

This is gonna be one hell of a slugfest. Keep the popcorn fresh!

And this is making you really happy huh? What do you think the Democrats are going to gain, if indeed this amounts to anything? The Republicans still control both houses, maybe not by much but it is more than can be said for the Democrats.

this might be the best thing that could happen right now.

Republicans control both houses now, and yet, the whip has to get votes from Democrats in order to pass anything. So who really controls the House? That's the point...stop worrying about what the Democrats control. If you're a Republican, that should be the last thing on your mind.

What do the Democrats gain? LMAO...you'd better do some serious deducing. Your Speaker just walked away from his caucus...the 3rd highest job in our government and the job he's wanted all of his life, out of frustration.

So you tell me.

The ending will be EXACTLY what the Dems want. We already know what the ending is. It's doesn't take a genius...there can only be one ending.

The Tea Party caucus wants a hard right Speaker that won't compromise, and they think they have enough votes to get exactly that.

And that's EXACTLY what the Dems want.
