Honestly, most Kentucky Democrats, including the current governor, are monumental DINOs. When I lived there my longtime Democratic representative to the state legislature was unapologetically against abortion, birth control, SSM, and for voter ID, capital punishment, prayer in school, and states' rights. They are only Democrats because their Mama and Daddy were, just like their parents were before them.

Indeed, it has left her back in the 20th century. No party is ever perfect, but they do seek to become better, to shed stances that have been shown to be, quite simply, wrong. She is right - the Democratic Party has abandoned those who are anti-gay and who think the law should be used as a mechanism to treat them unequally.

It sounds like she thinks she's punishing the Democratic Party by depriving it of her wonderful membership. In fact, the Democratic Party is more than happy to cede "Let's discriminate against gays!" vote to the Republicans, and is pleased to rid itself of her taint!
As a Republican I do not welcome her bigot self at all.
With this attitude you are acting like a Democrat......funny how she is getting blamed for following laws that were in place WHEN she took the job, elected by the PEOPLE!
