I work for the state university here in Iowa and it is not a surprise that this campus is full of Commies, Marxists and anarchists.
What kills me is the amount of young people here who support Commie/Socialist candidates like Bernie Sanders, as long as he uses the word "free" this, free "that" and equality, these fools will vote for him without even understanding what his intentions really are.

It has been that way since the '60s in Iowa City. I watched the "hippies" riot, burn cars, and throw rocks at the National guard in the '60s. It was not uncommon to see a North Vietnamese flag flying in some dorm windows.
All college campuses now are nuts. Why? Because the profs are all libs and no one in the universities has had to work for a living yet. Remember what Churchill said?

Probably because he is placating businesses. These are the ones importing most of the items- like iPhones, computers, etc. These are the people who would be paying the taxes. Sure, consumer goods costs might rise slightly, but not enough for most people to notice. People can always buy a Samsung over an iPhone.

Before or after the national guard was called in the kill people at Kent State? No matter. They don't do that anymore.

Does it matter? People would pay 25% more for everything. EVERYONE would pay instead of the minority who pay now (77.5 million tax filers paid any federal income tax at all. U.S. population is 320 million), and the revenue for Bernie's programs would be collected.
