This video of Cologne on NYE really brings it home. There were 3-4 other cities in Germany that also experienced mayhem on NYE. I've read on another site that pepper spray in Germany is sold out, children are being kept home from school and women are venturing out more and more in groups only and with male friends as bodyguards.
The video is staged. Everybody in that video speaks german. No Arabic can be heard.
what's sickening to me about the picture embedded in that story is that rape has nothing to do with sex. It's a violent, brutal assault and the victim will never, ever be the same. Anyone who rapes needs a bullet right between the eyes!
Agree. However I think in the Arab World the goal of this tactic is to purposefully demoralize women to put them in their place. Islam is a very backwards culture.
It is fascinating to watch how the debates have been changing and developing in those few days since the terrible events of New Year's Eve.
I don't have much hope that it will be a turning point in Germany's ludicrous immigration policy yet - I fear things will have to get much worse before politicians wake up. But at least there seems to be a changing trend in news media coverage. It will be more difficult now to cover up such crimes and which cirlces they originate from. The debate has been ongoing for a long time whether the nationality of the perpetrators should even be reported at all in crime statistics and news coverage - often it was suppressed for fear of misuse to feed prejudice and racism. I think that after Cologne, people will demand more transparency.
But this discussion goes back far before the refugee crisis - for example, a policewoman with Greek roots has written a book about how some German inner cities are taken over by criminal clans of 2nd and 3rd Generation of immigrants. She criticized how this does not even show up in crime statistics, because criminals from those backgrounds are just counted as "German", because those born here have double citicenship.
I hope Germans will stand up and get violent against these people and overthrow Angela Merkel, that woman is to blame for all this.
They won't. They will probably face a stiff fine if they go on social media and say they were immigrants. Racist and all that you know.
