Up until the re-election of Barack Obama, I'd've said the reason for the forum being right-of-center (to the extent that it may be) is because America is a center-right country. I'm not so sure that's true anymore.
Frankly, I don't think this forum tips all that much to the right, anyway; I think it's pretty evenly balanced.
I notice something interesting whenever I participate in a thread with a poll. The written responses often seem to me to weighted toward the right, while the poll results seem weighted toward the center or even the left, depending on the subject.
Someday when this retired lefty gets especially curious, I'll do some counting. But I actually suspect that all of us, whenever we feel especially strongly about a subject, will either notice most the posts we agree with (yeah, you tell 'em!) or the ones we disagree with (what a moron!).

It is. It has idiots from both ends of the spectrum. I'm pretty sure when the President is Republican more threads will be about bashing right wing policy.
