No, I am not. I've even used one myself when I moved and needed a new script before I had established a relationship with a local Drs office.
Not for a birth control script, you didn't. CVS, and similar store clinics, are fine for a flu test, strep test...and scripts for those issues. They do not provide reproductive healthcare. We've used them too, for cold, flu, sore throat...they are not in any way set up for paps or prescribing birth control. You are grasping like crazy!
Oh. My. God. Because THEY DON'T. If you are female (which I doubt because women know better), walk into your local CVS and ask for an exam because you want a birth control. Report back.
Yes. I'm female. And I've used regular HCPs (gynecologists, etc.), public health clinics, and convenience clinics (CVS, grocery stores, etc.) for my women's health care needs at various times in my life, so far. Never had an issue with lack of services at any of them.
FYI, a NP can do a pap smear. And it's frequently less uncomfortable because a large percentage of NPs are women.
LOL!! You've had female exams at CVS and the grocery store? This is comical!

So you're telling us you had a yeast infection treated at a convenience clinic? Because that's the *only* kind of women's care they give. They can't address issues with periods (aside from perhaps painkillers), perform a pap smear or pelvic exam, prescribe birth control, treat STDs (though some may test, at a premium cost), or identify hormonal issues. They can't offer assistance with any facet of pregnancy care. Planned Parenthood does all of the above.
PS - You don't need to go to a clinic to get that yeast infection cleared up. There are over the counter treatments for that.
Obamacare does not "cover" anything. It is a law, not health insurance. It mandates coverage for some preventive health care, but you still have to buy the insurance.
Uh huh, and buying insurance is mandated by law now.
What you are ignoring is that the doctors at PP ARE specialists, specialists in reproductive health.
