And it wouldn't be any of our business, let Russia spend its resources, not enough benefit to the US to get further involved.

Yep, it's time people learn Defense, the second D in DoD, is defined NO WHERE as changing regimes you don't like or lame attempts at nation building.

Let Putin fight ISIS in Syria, let's at least pretend we've learned the little/no benefit to the US so many of our foreign adventures, especially in the Middle East, have been in the past.
Putin is a lot smarter than Obama. When Putin goes in, he fights to win. He will take territory and he will take the oil (spoils of war). When that happens, God help America. We are not in a good position here, unless we act quickly and decisively to regain the upper hand. We are not doing that. We are doing virtually nothing.

The report did not come from US media.

Russians have a long history of not giving a rats ass about civilians. In Afghanistan, they'd wipe out entered towns if they received one bullet from that direction.
I dont believe we've heard of civilian casualties since bush was in office... O bots have been humpin to please and carrying water for years now..O's indecision is seen worldwide. except for those carrying that load.

If Putin wants Russia to take over the problem of civilizing the Middle East he is welcome to do it. I like the idea of a totalitarian dictator facing off with the other dictators trying to rule that area. Let Russia go bankrupt trying to "bring peace" to an anarchic religious absurdity.

We should get out and stay out no matter what these people do to each other. IMHO the Europeans as well as us are insane to allow any refugees from the area. Force them to stay and face the consequences of their own bad luck.

To say that Obama has no idea what he is doing would be an understatement.

It isn't jealousy, Mr. Burdell, it is concern for what this means for America. Take off your rose colored glasses. There is evil in the world, and it is right at our doorstep. Putin is evil, and his involvement isn't for the benefit of anyone but him.

Bush was a strong leader. He was able to keep Putin under control. Putin respected Bush. He does not respect Obama. Obama has created opportunity for Russia to move in. That's what Putin is doing. Wake up!
STOP looking through a telescope and crying WOLF! over this alleged danger "right at our doorstep". A far bigger danger isn't at the doorstep but inside our house, those who refuse to learn from history and still perpetuate the myth that the world is ours to police and shape to our liking. Read the Constitution, it DOES NOT task us with that job.

LOL NO.

Russia has 1/6th of the entire planet's resources. Furthermore if Russia completely cut off it's petroleum exports, the Western economies would instantly collapse. They can not only fuel all their jets, but also the jets of the entire US Military too.

If he respected the "strong" Bush, why did he embarrass him by attacking Georgia? The truth is that Russia was completely ignored by Bush admin, and by the time Bush left the office, US had lost every tool to force Russia's hand in foreign policy.

Perhaps you can actually back that up with a LINK to these "US planes that continue to carry out air strikes over Syria". I can't find it - I did find that Putin is calling the shots and bombing Anti-Assad Rebels that the US & 62 Nations are supporting. The Russian & Syria planes are bombing Villages and killing women and children.

Russian general tells US diplomats: 'We launch Syria air strikes in one hour. Stay out of the way'|London Telegraph

Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter claims that Russia can't tell the USA what to do ...... ignoring the FACT that Russia has already done exactly that. Does anyone really expect that the Feckless TeamObama is going to challenge Russia in the air above Syria? Of course not. The time to show "strength" is BEFORE somebody starts bombing. TeamObama & the Leftists can only think in terms of "all out WAR" and "total appeasement". Absolutely no Strategy or Long Term thinking.

Across arc of conflict, 'Obama Doctrine' shows signs of failure |Reuters - 9/30/15

Russia’s sudden moves to seize the initiative in the Syria and Iraq crises in recent weeks have stunned U.S. officials and laid bare the erosion of Washington’s influence in the region.

Faced by the mounting setbacks, Obama will probably only make modest changes in strategy, according to current and former U.S. officials. That strongly suggests that Obama will leave some of the world’s most intractable conflicts to his successor when he leaves office in January 2017.

Martin Dempsey’s World Is Falling Apart
The outgoing Joint Chiefs chairman bids farewell to an alliance beset by crises. |Politico Magazine 9/26/15

"When pressed by a reporter why the Joint Chiefs have not devised a more decisive strategy for dealing with the Assad regime, an obviously annoyed Dempsey replied that the White House had not asked for one.

General Obama doesn't need any "strategy" advise or plans from the Military, the Defense Department or even from the Intelligence community. He knows best about everything - a community organizer from Chicago thinks he doesn't need anyone to "advise" him.

A $500 million U.S. program to train and equip a viable Syrian rebel force has, by the recent admission of U.S. Central Command leader Gen. Lloyd Austin, produced only a literal handful of fighters. Retired General Allen resigned this week - he was supposed to be Obama's ISIS Czar. The TOP Russian Analyst at the Defense Department quit yesterday. Obama forced out Hagel and the head of Military Intelligence. He forces out ANY/ALL Generals/Admirals that disagree with his Pie in the Sky/Hopey-Changey[/i] "strategy".

Let's not forget the recent revelations about our Intelligence

Exclusive: 50 Spies Say ISIS Intelligence Was Cooked |DailyBeast 9/15/15

On September 16th at the GOP CNN debate - Marco Rubio stood on that stage and stated exactly what happened yesterday - that Russia would (in the next several weeks) start flying bombing missions in Syria to prop up Assad and that they would be bombing the Rebels fighting against Assad and not ISIS.

TeamObama appear to be totally Clueless about what is happening, but Senator Marco Rubio called it exactly correct on National TV in front of 23 Million people.

Arrow Unlike Obama - Putin Means Business When Goal is Established

This is a leader who will make the tough decisions to reach a goal.
