Tragic but amazing coincidence that this ended up in his backyard. I am sure that there will be some out there claiming that this was also a conspiracy, what will his reaction be to the disbelievers.

Default Deniers are mostly the same

Gun nuts and global warming deniers are cut from the same cloth. All they care about is not having their hobbies or industries regulated, so anything that requires even thinking about regulations (more mental health screening or not wasting finite oil) challenges their selfish ideology, thus they wish it out of existence.

They are just greedy, low-intellect people and they will always exist unless human brain evolution takes a leap into hyper-reality, which isn't likely. In fact, people may be getting stupider on average, or at least more intellectually lazy.

"UCC hoax" videos are already making the rounds. They'll have to claim that Hanlin was placed as a diversion or whatever nonsense they decide to invent. Such mentally ill people are the very ones who shouldn't own guns. They are a case of extreme property rights ideology; the property being firearms.

A title of one beetle-brained video is: "Oregon Shooting Hoax: Blatant Gun Control Agenda For UN NWO"

Do these losers think anyone has ever been shot in a public place, or at least more than one person at a time by a stranger? How far back are they willing to take their mindless conspiracies? Did things like the Texas tower shooting or political assassinations never occur?

Or, do they think shootings have only been "fake" since the Internet allowed them to post their bilge, or since Obama (the "gun grabber" who never was) got elected?

I have seen no reports of how this information got into the hands of anti-gun activists but it really does not matter if his opinions are expressed on his personal Facebook page.
Anyone can go on Facebook and read public postings! There was no secret information trail. It's well documented that Hanlin posted that video. He deleted the post but didn't deny it outright. You're probably in agreement with him and just trying to change the subject to platitudes about "rights" vs. dealing with moral issues. It's not just a "personal" opinion when an elected sheriff defies public policy on guns.

Look up the story of Andrew D. Truelove, who stole signs from Sandy Hook Memorials. Hanlin and the extreme gun nut crowd don't think much differently than him. All that matters is adding more pieces of metal to their collections, and claiming that the government (not their sleazy selves) is the root of all evil.

Anyone can go on Facebook and read postings but that does not make it public ... it's still a personal Facebook page. It's like someone talking to another in public and a third person overhears the conversation ... that conversation is still personal and not a person using his or her official public position to make a public statement.

The Sheriff is doing his job and can't be forced to resign by radical progressive communists who are trying so hard to make that happen for political gain. Fact be told ... the majority of people who voted for the sheriff are democrats and they fully support him ... and they don't support Obama coming to Oregon to use this event to push his political anti-gun agenda. The real democrats (true American's) are turning against the radical progressive communists who are trying to destroy our society.

I watched an interview done by Anderson Cooper where he talked to an alleged survivor of the Theater shooting in Colorado. The guy was clearly faking his injuries, or at the very least, greatly exaggerating them. Its possible the interview was staged for the camera and the guy was just pretending or maybe he just suckered Anderson into letting him get on camera.
So while I think these shooting and other events happen, I also think they get heavily influenced by the media and when the government gets on the scene, many of the facts get lost or ignored or created and THAT feeds into conspiracy theories. We're only being told what we're supposed to know, what they want us to think. We're lucky they suck at what they do.

The twelve people who died weren't faking

If the government didn't come up with Facebook for domestic surveillance then they are very stupid.

You got that right, anyone who thinks otherwise needs to pull their head out.......

WOW!!!

Elected Sheriff's, upholding the constitution. While appointed hired gun police chiefs, want the public unarmed.
