To all the people who oppose the 2nd amendment and believe a no gun law is the way to go than think again as Holland/Netherlands has a no gun law and no gun stores that you can see around.

The 24,000 guns were all illegal guns and seized over the past 2.5 years buy the guns come in so fast and criminals don't deal with laws as the word criminal describes itself.
The negative side is that the good people are defenseless since they can't have a gun and crime against good citizens is up. Many elderly people have been the victim as they are the easiest ones to rob.
The link is for a Dutch article but just as a reference to where I got the info from.

Wait! How did they seize guns in a gun-free region?

Maybe they should make it illegal to break they law.

They ask the criminals nicely to turn them in.

And just think....the Netherlands is a rinky-dinky kingdom.

You can fit the Netherlands and Belgium and Luxembourg neatly into the region south of I-70 and north of the Ohio River in Ohio, that's how small they are.

Wait a sec. Doesn't that mean 24,000 guns off of the Dutch streets? Something is working in Holland.

It's an age old contest, this game of cat and mouse; that is, of police and smugglers.

We have 'no murder laws' yet murder still occurs.

Laws don't stop anything , they only allow the punishment of those deemed to have done wrong.

What will be deemed right/wrong is a different issue.

It shouldn't matter how much land they have. Holland had a population of 17 million people, so the number of confiscated guns is actually very small.
