quote--For the people who claim mental illness is to blame for our gun violence, not the guns themselves—isn’t the worship of an inanimate object to the point of threatening revolution if someone tried to take 1 or 2 of the 40 you own a sign of mental illness? Isn’t hoarding guns and bullets for fear of society, your neighbors, the government and the unknown a sign of mental illness? Because let’s be honest, the Second Amendment has already been “infringed” upon. We’re not allowed to own missiles, bombs or other extremely dangerous explosives which could be argued by some that they are “arms” as well. Besides, the Second Amendment doesn’t state we have the right to bear any arms to begin with. It’s just disturbing to me that so many people live with such fear.

You obviously, are experts on this since you constantly want to correct liberals on it.

So do it. Show us how to reduce gun deaths.

This country is allegedly the most free in the world. With that people are entrusted to act civilized. When the don't, the authorities are given free reign to put them down.

I agree. The irrational fear of an inanimate object is disturbing.

Maybe some do have an unhealthy attraction but if they harm no one what is the problem?

or when a private citizen sells a gun which accounts for 40% of sales, you would hope the OP knew that. Just another thread built on a faulty premise.

It's asked why is it that other countries don't have the mentally ill killing people as regularly as here. Maybe because they deal with these illnesses differently?

Maybe the idea is to deal with the actual problem as opposed to simply trying to treat the problem with drugs?
I'm sure there are some countries that do a better job and guns are not the only issue but the proliferation and our culture are certainly factors.

How many other countries have single moms that take children with mental issues to firing ranges and provide access to guns.

I can't see how.

I have no clue. Is there someone advocating that? We have 350 million people. In that many people you are going to have some that simply do not think right. Maybe the problem is a proliferation of people?

Thank you for asking question. Thank you for acknowledging who is expert. So here is expert answer.....

Stop the federal government from paying and encouraging women from bringing bastard babies into the world. Bastard babies where the baby mama has no ability to rise the child properly and teach them about functioning properly in society. Bastard babies whose derelict baby daddy is no where to be found and thus doesn't teach baby what it takes to be a real man or woman who takes responsibility for action.

Fix that problem and gun crime will be reduced to historic lows in just one generation.

---------------------------------

Side note: Keep in mind that in the vast majority of places in the USA, gun crime is even better than Europe. The above problem only exists in a very small portion of the land area of the USA.

How many of the weapons involved with these mass shooting did not go through background check? I may be wrong here but I believe all of the recent ones went through background check.
