University of Texas professor quits over state's 'campus carry' gun law | US news | The Guardian

SO just maybe this professor does feel such threats just going to work when cancealed guns could end his life and others..because it's lawful for anyone to settle their beefs in such a manner the OP's example outlines.

It is nothing more than hoplophobia.
I think the University of Texas will be much better off without such a dimwitted professor.

They're getting so desperate to label things "school shootings" that they're now going to call any shooting involving a student or non-student a "school shooting" even if it happened on a bus or at a park near the school or during a drive-by near the kids apartment etc etc etc.

Heck, can we call the drone strike in Afghanistan a school shooting?

So, CC laws might be an underlying way of getting rid of Liberal professors? Ruh-Roh!

Do you really think killers worry if it is legal to bring a gun on campus?

What's the excuse for the Virginia Tech shooting then? Was that in the ghetto part of Blacksburg?

Today there was another shooting at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff...one of Arizona's most beautiful and exclusive cities. One dead. My son's Alma mater.

How does your theory apply to that shooting?

That's an interesting question.

Is Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon in a "ghetto" neighborhood?

No. It's a relatively new school in the suburbs.
