So, Turkey supports ISIS by allowing US to bomb ISIS? Sounds like the 'kiss of Judas' to me..... Or maybe they shot down the russian plane for other reasons.
I know why they are not shooting down US planes. The fact that they made such deal with US, shows they are not as much in bed with ISIS as the other poster suggested. The situation is more complicated that that (as you pointed out).
ISIS controls all oil fields in Syria, and the majority of the oil fields in Iraq. Who do you think buys that oil?
The thing I kind of wonder.....Do the rebels fighting Assad have US built GPS jammers, and could that have led the Russian pilots to believe they were still in Syria?
Russian jets used Russian GLONASS satellites for navigation.
+ But navigating officer (second pilot) said, that the weather was good and he is well to navigate the terrain.

Who told you they control most oil fields in Iraq? It seems like the Kremlin propaganda machine is working overtime. Its like the good ole soviet times.
Assad buys most of ISIS oil. Yes, the same Assad Russia is there to help.
Max, don't worry. NATO won't attack any Russian military base, 'cause they understand there woud be no winner in this fight. Russia can eliminate all the military bases of NATO within a few minutes, though.
NATO is more powerful than armed forces of Russia. I hope that NATO and Russia can agree on the rules of game. But Russia will not forget downed bomber. I think that for the stabilization of situation between Russia and Turkey will take many years.
"On October 17, Shim told Press TV that the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT) had accused her of "spying".[5] She stated that it is "probably due to some of the stories she had covered about Turkey's stance on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant militants in KobanĂŞ".[6] She had reported that ISIL militants being smuggled over the Turkish border into Syria on trucks bearing the symbols of NGOs like the "World Food Organisation". Shim, said on air she's "a bit frightened" by what MİT "might use against me."[3]"
